If we could control the weather and if we put farmers in charge of it so that they could pick EXACTLY the weather they wanted...one of two things would happen.

1. They would pick the PERFECT weather for their crops...and still b!^@h about it.

2. They would pick droughts...so that they could b!^@h about it.

So you don’t believe humans cause climate change, correct?
False equivalence. Climate change is the result of global human activity altering atmospheric conditions over time, not direct weather control. Hurricanes are natural events; climate change intensifies them. Big leap of logic to suggest climate change equals controlling the weather. You're a Floridian—does it look like we’re in control of the weather at the moment?

I remember all the climate activists saying FL would be under water by now hah.

I just think it’s humorous that people who think humans can change the global climate laugh off guys like 1-2-3 .

Do a quick two minute search on Operation Popeye.

The guy was inferring that the U.S. government sent a government created hurricane to attack Florida. He's a wingnut and is laughed at as such.

So I’d really like to know who is in charge of hurricane attacks on Florida and what is the purpose behind it?
SS will go bankrupt so gotta take out the old people . Their aiming was off as it will no longer directly hit The Villages. Covid couldn’t get the job done. 🤣🤣

They also tend to emit way more carbon into the atmosphere than any of us troglodytes.

Right. Buy an EV, ride your bike. Turn off your AC. Stop farming. No more cows. Eat bugs. If you need me, I'll be taking my private jet to Davos to fleece more money out of idiots. All while enjoying a steak and lobster meal. Fvcking frauds and hypocrites.

Government has been creating hurricanes for centuries. Actually, they were creating them before the U.S. was even a country. It's crazy! Sometimes they even send them up to Jersey to throw people off their scent.

Do a quick two minute search on Operation Popeye.
Why search? Cloud seeding has been around since the 40's. Operation Popeye was a military cloud-seeding effort during the Vietnam War, aimed at extending the monsoon season. Cloud seeding manipulates precipitation by dispersing silver iodide into clouds to encourage rain or snow, but hurricanes are entirely different—massive systems driven by ocean heat and atmospheric dynamics. No technology, including cloud seeding, can generate or control hurricanes.

Isn’t it far more probable that man-made climate change is fueling the increasing frequency and severity of tropical storms than some deep-state actor manipulating hurricanes? Cloud seeding manipulates, it cannot control. Maybe we disagree on control vs manipulation.

13 storms since M is the 13th letter. Not sure if all turned into hurricanes.

A common mistake people make is looking at dollar damage and declare storms are getting stronger.
But they are. And it's really not arguable. One can try to argue the root cause...But there is strong consensus across the board that weather events have intensified and are occurring at a higher rate.

And when has "strong consensus" ever been wrong...let me see...maybe Covid?

....yeah it needs work compared to "...And it's really not arguable ".
Not sure what you are saying. Do you have something to back up what you are insinuating? Which is there is not an increase in extreme weather events across the world!

Came here to get updates on the storm from those affected by the hurricane. Instead it's a political thread.

..I was just quoting you. Sounded really dumb. ..."...And it's really not arguable "

Bad weather has been around since Genesis, and spoiler alert, it will keep happening.

Depends on your take I guess. not sure what part of covid you are alluding to.
Pick a part, any part...strong consensus was wrong on the whole damn thing...your entire argument is "strong consensus" is saying the storms are stronger and more intensified...so that makes it a fact? yeah, no.

That really isn't an argument. But no worries if you don't have something to back up your point that's ok. Its what the world has become. Facts are false and considered fake news. Misinformation rules the day.

I don't need to pick a part. I didn't make the argument about covid you did.

I can back my consensus argument about climate change with hard facts. But my guess is that won't change your mind. So we can just agree to disagree.

"It's really not arguable..." almost sold me. I mean I had been leaning a certain way, then I read that it isn't arguable on the internet no less, and what a game changer!!!

Way to double down with that fancy word at the end certain people use when they get caught sounding like a blowhard.

Here is a hard fact for you...the weather changes and has since the beginning of time...end of story.
