We went to the Bills Vs. Texans in Houston last weekend. It was crazy hot and humid, but I have to say, that stadium was rocking. I wasn't expecting much but the Texans fans were pretty loud.

I also didn't reaize the city has an underground network of tunnels to escape the heat. And they have over 850 murals all over town.

We were pretty impressed because out expectations were so low going in.

Summer & early fall (September) Temps in Houston are brutal with incredible heat and very high humidity. Our son & his family lived there for a few years, we visited in mid-summer; everytime we would go outside you would sweat immediately. Always felt like we needed a shower just walking a block. Huge, expansive city.

I'll never complain about 110° in Phoenix again 😜. Houston is the 4th largest city in America and 5th largest metro. And yet the downtown area is a ghost town on the weekend.

Nice pics. Really want to visit now. In the winter! Hah, Pinto Ron! I remember seeing him at Xerox where we both worked as engineers way back when.

You need to get to the new Highmark Stadium. It was wild at the Bills Lions game Thursday night. Definitely the loudest stadium I was ever in. Connor McGovern even commented that their OL coach had to get face to face to him to communicate about line play and even then McGovern had a hard time hearing him!

Always enjoy your trip reports. Looks like you got to see a very exciting game! I travelled to Houston many times for work over the years and it has always been one of my least favorite cities (but admittedly I never really spent any time downtown). That humidity is just unbearable.

I will get there for sure. Just not this year. The place looks amazing and showed well for the opener. I loved the end zone paint scheme.

Looks like you scored decent seats. Congrats and enjoy!

We drove through Houston in late April on our way to CA. It was horrible. Worse than Atlanta traffic.
