The Chargers will also have an opening for a new hc when they make the move to LA after the season is over. The NFL should be a little concerned having 2 team in LA, but I'm sure there is enough money to make one of the teams a winner.

I will miss the Chargers but I will be so happy to have Dean Spanos out of San Diego. What a bad owner.

Harbaugh is not leaving Ann Arbor.

Too soon.....with the exception of 4 years with Bo and I believe 6 years as a member the Bears, he usually spends at least 3 years with his current employer until he wears out his welcome or starts to see greener grass elsewhere.

This and as a competitor he came close but no cigar this year. I think he would like another shot at beating OSU.

He missed with a very mature Michigan team against a very, very young tOSU squad. He loses a large number of starters from this year's team while Meyer has serious talent returning. If Barrett returns for tOSU I don't like Harbaugh's chances next year.

On the Michigan board they are convinced Harbaugh won't be leaving because of many reasons including- he loves Ann Arbor and Michigan, he makes as much money as he would in the NFL, he won't leave until he beats OSU, won't leave until he wins a National Championship, won't leave because he moved his parents into town, won't leave because his kids are attending the same elementary school as he did.

I said that I don't think the Rams would be a reason for him to leave, but if he ever did leave for the NFL, it would simply because he felt whatever was being offered was best for him. They took great offense to that but I stand by the comment.

You made the grave mistake of telling Michigan Men (tm) that being at Michigan is not the best thing that could ever happen to a person.

Here is why it makes sense to be a Michigan fan:
1) The Detroit Lions exist
2) The next nearest NFL teams are the Browns and the Bears
3) Cool helmets
4) Easy to spot that big "M" flag when looking for the bar
5) Lots of high school football talent in neighboring Ohio
6) Blue is a more slimming color than Spartan Green

There is nothing (legal) he can do to wear out his welcome in A2 MI. They are desperate for a winner after a decade in the doldrums.

But if he doesn't beat dOSU soon, the natives will get restless pretty fast. 0-2 isn't sitting pretty.

he is the single entity preventing me from putting ped state on top of my most hated team list. I just can't stand the man

I thought Michigan was the floating turd on top of all your most hated team lists, regardless of who was the head coach.

My daughter went to Illinois and my second favorite team is whoever plays Illinois. Nuff said.

It's good to know that this is acceptable. I wouldn't mind my future child becoming a U of I-trained engineer ... just so long as I can root for my child's alma mater to lose every game.

Don't do it! My son went to Michigan too and it is hard to hate your children.

My first 19 years were spent growing up within a stones throw of Ohio State and never questioning the evil of Michigan. During my son's freshman year as an NU swimmer we attended his B1G Championship. Winner of each event receives his medal while the school fight song is played.
When "the Victors" was played for the first time I felt a constriction in my throat and tight knot in my stomach reminiscent of the scene where Darth Vadar appears on the captured ship in search of the Princess.
Took half that first day but I figured out my childhood dislike of the Wolverines was deeply ingrained and easily triggered by their fight song. Not sure I would have survived 4 years had he chosen Michigan over Northwestern. Thank god he made the perfect choice.
