Did some serious damage to a house being built next to us on a Mischief Night. Tomatoes thrown in a freshly painted house. Police investigated. I got blamed by my neighbor who was also a participant (and had the key to the house). I threw it back on him. We all were called to the police chief's house later in the week, he mentioned lie detector, and we all sang like canaries. Thought for sure that the builder would make us pay for it, but never did. Learned a very valuable lesson that night. No one even smashes a pumpkin in our town. Zero.

You folded under questioning.

Reminds me of a night we were throwing snowballs at cars from a dirt road in the woods that cut into our development back around 1977. Unfortunately the car we chose was a Jeep. After pelting it he stopped and put the Jeep in reverse. We ran down the dirt road that led into the development and our safety. Unfortunately, this guy plowed right over the snow bank and down the road. As we are running, we knew we are gonna get caught so we dumped behind some trees face down in the snow. The bastard just sat in his heated Jeep for 45 minutes as we froze lying as still as can be in the snow. He eventually left giving a friendly toot of the horn as he drove away.

Me and @herdof3 had the same type of thing happen when we were kids. We used to throw snowballs at the cars behind his house, until one day...

Damn...
I loved getting chased but hated getting caught throwing snowballs at cars.

Well, the good news is that Mischief Night will have light rain throughout the evening. The bad news is that there will be rain showers on Halloween.

My almost 15yr old daughter and her friends have been toilet papering each others houses for 3 weeks. The boys got her dads house really good two times. ( Even up the electric poles) He made her clean where she could reach both times, which I'm happy about. He wasn't mad at all which I found odd. I would've come out with a bat or eggs the second time I saw them on the camera. Every inch of his property was filled with TP. (I'll try to post picture) They also ring and run and one man got so pissed he got in his car and chased a group of young male teens. I told her l know it's all in fun, but be respectful. Our town is safe, but they're still can be crazies who don't find it funny.

Dumb move on that guys part... there is a code true mischief makers hold true to... if an adult chases you (aggressively) for what we called a “ding-dong ditch” his house becomes target #1.

On the bright side the egg shells will be good fertilizer for his bushes
