Sackenburg sucks.

we should have won that first PSU game. All we needed was one more TD and we would have probably won. That was Nova's worst game that year I think.

Art was by far the worst QB I've ever seen in major college football. His accuracy was historically bad and almost laughable. The chance he becomes even a borderline startable QB is very low IMO. Of course we may not have any better options

A lot of teams who beat us had QBs who did not make it in the NFL. We have not really ever had an NFL QB either. I guess Savage started a while. Lucas a little bit.

Wait a minute. We currently have a RU QB playing and thriving in the NFL.
He's just not playing QB.

From Wikipedia:

During his first two seasons on the team, including his redshirt season, (Andrew) DePaola served as the team's third string quarterback,

He was a serviceable college QB who ended up a round peg in a square hole when the offensive scheme switched.

Sound familiar..?

An RU grad and current NFL player has perhaps the best QB rating in NFL history, as long as you don't require a minimum # of passes and completions. Sanuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did any of you see Artur at IMG ? He looked exactly the same as he did at RU, except he wasn't getting knocked down all of the time.
He had accuracy and decision-making problems. Which is why he was replaced as the qb at IMG. I hope he turns it around here, but I'm not optimistic.
Hope I'm wrong.
You sound like all of the fans who watched Teel at Bosco. They were wrong. Why can’t you root for for him to do well and hope you are right?

I AM rooting for Artur to do well. I just have to say what my eyes have seen.
I'll be happy to be wrong. It happens from time to time.

Keep and eye out for Cooper Heisey this spring - he will compete with AS and others for the job. He is not a typical PWO.

You have some inside info on Cooper Heisey? His tape looks good, but wonder why he did not field any serious interest out of high school and post grad.

I dont have “inside info” but I know he played hoops and lax also until his senior year - did not get to camp a lot and his football team lost most games despite a very good offense. I see some local qbs getting good looks from D1 and it’s a mystery to me. He has all the physical attributes and could have started at any of the parochial powers.

Don't worry, he'll always have Kim Jones in his corner defending him at every opportunity.

Kim Jones actually almost died this year - think her Aorta burst - well not burst but close to it. She was at Redskins practice and fainted and the Redskins trainer recognized she was close to death and they airlifted her to DC and brought to 1 of the only doctors in world that could save her and stitched up her Aorta. True story.

My hope is that the QB position is an open competition in camp this year and that Ash isn't just giving it lip service.
If Art is the best out of the bunch then so be it but I hope that the coaches don't stick with him out of some misguided sense of loyalty.

Francesa, totally on brand, telling Kim Jones what her experience was like.

No. The reality is Hack was never that great. As a freshman he was ranked 9th out of 12 QBs in the B10. He lost to CFU, Nebraska, Indiana, OT vs Illinois.

When was he good?

PS. The clip was 2013 when Obrien was coach. The "good" year.

No. I never said he was that great.

Or made a defensive stop instead of letting them waltz down the field.
