Loved it. That was an episode 8 or 9 -- in episode 2. The story is really hauling ***, but it doesn't feel rushed to me.
Was happy to see Roose go, but didn't think how they did it was justice to him as a character. Book(and show) Roose is extremely cunning. In the books, he's several steps ahead of Ramsey the whole time, even though this isn't known by Ramsey. I just thought the inevitable conclusion to this season left Roose alive but potentially defeated -- with Walda and his new heir -- holed in in the Dreadfort.

I think we might see the "pink letter" next episode. But instead of Mance it will be Rickon based on the preview.

Surely the Umbers aren't going to actually turn him over to the Boltons and stick to that side. The Starks never "wronged" them in any way like they did the Karstarks. I think they are going to scheme and pretend, but surely that isn't something they would have changed in the show. It makes no sense.
I think they are giving him a fake Rickon and tipping us off to their true intentions. Sorta like the fake Arya storyline from the books.

Great episode. So glad we didn't have to go a whole season with Jon dead. I agree with Engie about Roose though, in the books he'd never be caught unawares by Ramsay. He's a Tywin Lannister level plotter. Actually, that's my only gripe with the show. Certain characters are nerfed (Sandor) and others are ridiculously overpowered (Brienne). But it's a small criticism. Love the way the show is unfolding, as I seriously doubt the books will ever be finished. Can't wait to see Ramsay meet his end at the hands of Jon 17'n Snow.

Nobody knows if it is or not. That's why I said may bring down the wall. It could be it. It could be the horn Sam has or it could be something else entirely. You can't definitively say it is or it isn't.
I noticed that as well. Also, its going to be good seeing Jamie man up this season and be the badass he was in seasons 1 and 2, mixed with some cersi cray-cray.
You're wrong. Balon has a dragon horn which supposedly binds dragons to him. Why would the Greyjoys give a **** about the wall.

Actually, you are wrong. Balon doesn't have ****. Euron had it and gave it to Victarion. And if we were talking about the books then yeah, the horn is supposedly for dragons and you would be right on that part, but we're not. We're talking about the show which is off going farther and farther from the books. Hell, we don't even know if he has a horn at all. They've combined so many things in the books to the tv show to speed up things so IF he does have a horn then we have no idea what that horn may do. It may be the horn to bring the wall down. It may be dragonbinder. Or it may not even be in it at all.

So there's been a theory that Tyrion is actually a Targareyen, the son of the Mad King and Tywin's wife, which is why Tywin's hates him and says "you're no son of mine."
There have apparently been more hints in the book that the Mad King raped Tywin's wife at some point, but the hints sound more like before Tyrion would have been born since he's the youngest.
So what if Jamie and Cersei are the Mad King's kids rather than Tyrion. This would explain why Tywin hates Tyrion so much because the Mad King produced a great soldier and devious, intelligent (future) queen, while he produced a drunken dwarf that killed his wife in childbirth.
It would also fit with "whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin" on whether they'll eventually be crazy or not. Jamie is sane, Cersei shows signs of maybe losing her sanity. 50/50
It would also explain why Tywin allowed Jamie to take the oath of the kings guard and give up his claim to the head of the Lannisters, because he isn't really a Lannister.
And the incest stuff. Mostly the invest stuff.
