OT: Golden Retrievers

[SyonaraStanz]

Does anyone know of a golden retriever breeder in Mississippi? I’m looking for one for the kiddos.

Found our golden at a rescue. I would check at your local shelters first

We got a great golden

from Rhondasretrievers.com

Near Meridian. Very nice family and website has pictures of the litters.

Have you looked at the national club site?

Hair. Hair, everywhere.

Same with labs. Invest in a Roomba Robot vacuum. Worth the money.

Yep. It’s almost a requirement

I don’t mind hair in the yard.

PM me.

My brother lives in Mufreesboro, TN and he just had a litter 3 or 4 weeks ago. He has 3 males left out of the litter of 9. Pm if you want his number. Tennessee may be too far

The kiddos had better keep their eyes on their toys.

Wonderful dogs. I have one, if you brush the hair is not that bad. Best dog I’ve ever had. They have awesome personalities

Goldens are family dogs, and they have to be with you.....a lot. they get depressed if you aren’t able to spend a lot of time with them. They are a real member of the family. I wouldn’t get a golden if you are going to leave it outside. They don’t like to be alone

I'm sure you're joking but I never understand why people get a dog for a pet and leave it outside.

Because it’s an animal and not a human. Animals live outside. Humans live inside.

I’ve had Labs, Chesapeake retrievers and German Shepherd. But my now dog is a white Golden Retriever and is the best dog ever! She is so giving and kind. She very well mannered and obedient. But her hair shedding is really bad.

When I was a kid, our dogs (and cats) always stayed outside. They weren't allowed inside. I don't have a dog now, but if I did it would be an inside dog. Our cat stays inside. Too many dangers outside, like coyotes. I don't think coyotes were in this part of the country when I was very young.

Yep, love our Roomba. I thought it was mostly a novelty when we bought it, but it really does do a good job. And is a whole lot more persistent than I am. It just keeps on working without a break.

Unless it's one of the delicate frou-frou breeds, I think it's cruel to leave them inside.

[Dawg1976]

What's cruel is leaving a dog outside and never spending anytime with your pet. Which happens more often than not. I don't see the purpose of owning one if it's only going to be an o/s dog. Mind enjoys both but spends more time inside.
