Can I re-use the flare fitting on the back of the stove?

I have a new flex hose that screws onto the fitting.

Unless it is damaged, don't see why not. But I am not a plumber or HVAC technician. Please be careful and know what you are doing. I'm comfortable doing this kind of thing, but please make sure your old shutoff for the gas is up to code, and do check the integrity of all of the connections. You can do this by using a solution of soap and water after you turn the gas on, or just use Snoop(R) leak detector. Please make sure your smoke and CO detectors have been replaced in the last 10 years. All of this might seem like common sense, but you would be surprised how many people have 15, 20, 25 or older smoke detectors in their home.
