If the NIL money needed to buy a top men's team was the same as needed on the women's side you may have a point. Could he be as successful with the RU limited NIL for the men?Can he also coach / manage / recruit for the Mens BB team ?
Men’s NIL isn’t limited it’s universally recognized as being at least mid pack in big ten which if you know what F you’re doing means you should be able to field a competitive rosterIf the NIL money needed to buy a top men's team was the same as needed on the women's side you may have a point. So you're saying if we have the 15th best $ in the big BIG TEN we can compete with the top 10 in the league as well as with those with 15 million and more in other leagues to buy the quality players we need?? And you're saying we don't have limited funds? We can easily come up with another 5 million if needed,? And you're saying we can easily pay to retain current players, give Hines the money he wants, ( 5 million) and fill the other spots. Can you be my financial advisor-- NOT.Men’s NIL isn’t limited it’s universally recognized as being at least mid pack in big ten which if you know what F you’re doing means you should be able to field a competitive roster

So you're not the guy saying we should easily buy Hines and also I'm wrong sayingThat’s
buddy that’s not at all what I said
I said we have a mid pack B10 budget which means we should be able to make a competitive roster to be a respectable team
I said it’s not limited in the sense that we aren’t operating on Pennie’s like the last 2 years

I’m saying as mentioned in another thread that as college hoops gets closer to modeling the NBA the NBA model dictates spending a large amount of your budget on 2 players. 2/3-3/4 of budget and filling out the restSo you're not the guy saying we should easily buy Hines and also I'm wrong saying
that buying women's players can't compare with the $ needed to buy a men's team ? That's what i duscussed.I think it's great that we have 6 or 7 million more Nil than last year but let's not be naive. It’s not a windfall when compared to other schools some around here think we should regularly beat.
Maker is likely Baye Fall 2.0….depressing if that’s who we bring in to be a starter. Hopefully he is only part of a plan for a backup and we bring in someone better to start, but I doubt that.I’m

Rutgers SO FAR appears to be trying to spread the money AGAIN which is concerning
you see the big men Rutgers are being connected with… Is Maker from DePaul satisfying ?
I like Pike so I hate to have to agree with this.Let's stop deluding ourselves. The football team is going to be markedly improved and will make a bowl game. The women's hoops team is going to be night-and-day better this year and has a decent chance to make the tournament.
The men's hoops team is where the women's team was this time last year. Like last year, a ceiling of 15 wins. As much as I admire Pike as a man and developer of young men, he has to go and new blood must be brought in.
It sucks but it is what it is.
