Awesome flick. Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby was great. Car guys or not car guys. Don't matter. Great movie. Christian Bale also good in it.

The feuding between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari was classic. How it all transpired. Creation of the Mustang, Lee Iacocca back when he worked for Ford was a cool back story.

great movie. if you're interested, adam carolla made a documentary about the real story called the '24-hour war' I highly recommend, as well. think it's even on netflix right now.

Small tidbit to add to the story and tie Nebraska into it. The #14 GT40 that finished 5th in the race is owned by a Nebraska businessman.

I just got home from watching it. It was good, I remember those days so that helps. I thought Bale was awesome. Back in those days, a lot of kids built models and those were classics.

Having worked at Ford myself, some of the background was authentic. The bit about Henry Ford was pretty spot on. Not sure though that Iacocca actually came off like the person most people in Detroit remember.

Overall it was a very good picture IMO. A good combination of a racing and a character story with the right balance between the two.
