Eh idk, a lot of artists hold affinities for styles and genres different than the one their main band is (Post Malone being a metalhead, vanilla ice having a grunge album, Corey Taylor, metallica elvoving themselves, Maynard Keenan, etc.) A lot of old Foo fighters was side projects during his nirvana years so this is probably just similar to that. Experimenting around. Either way even if I'm not gonna listen to it more than once I can respect him for it

Lyrics is part of what I'm talking about. You think post malones trap lyrics would've meshed well with Crown the Empire? Obviously there's a small amount of crossover between the bands but do you think Slipknot lyrics like Surfacing would work in a stone sour song? You ever actually seen how dark some nirvana lyrics are compared to Foo fighters? Dave played the Devil in Tenacious Ds movie, this is stuff he likes

Btw I'm not tryna argue or anything just talking music and art 'n' **** because I find it interesting haha

Toxicology showed 10 different drugs in his system including THC, opioids and anti-depressants. I feel sorry this musician (and others that have so much to live for) had demons that caused the extreme substance abuse.

It is interesting.

Artists that reach great success are kinda crazy. Especially in the rock genre.

Much comes from pain, anger, and resentment.

As I understand it, this was just the toxicology report from urine. They weighed his heart which was twice the normal size. These findings don't deteemine cause of death.

I guess just like you could go get a urine test and have reports in a couple hours but still not figure out what is wrong with you.

I have a friend who is an incredibly gifted photographer...he makes thousands a day photographing buildings and bridges...works all over the United States and is booked out 6 months in advance. He is a little off. Seems like many amazing artists are off upstairs....it's like they were given this amazing gift, at the expense of some common sense in other areas. Like.....not mixing 10 different mind altering drugs at once.

Drummers are usually introduced to the drums by their parents as a way to tire out a hyperactive or even aggressive child.

Many musicians have emotional problems, and society teaches them to turn to drugs and alcohol to solve them.

Luckily most of them figure out that you can't burn the candle at both ends for very long, especially at 50 years old.

Always a sad day to lose someone like TH
