What is up with FedEx? I’ve had delays before but it’s crazy right now. I have 3 packages out that were supposed to be here late last week and they are still sitting in Kansas and Nebraska. Haven’t moved in days.

Same here. I've been wondering if the loss (killed in Jackson) of the young man who delivered in Madison has caused us problems

What suck just like USPS you pay them to ship your stuff but just in case they lose or damage your item they want you to pay extra for insurance. Just doesn't sound right.

Local UPS franchise requiring formal acknowledgment that there will be no refund if “guaranteed delivery date/time” is missed. Told the franchise owner to consider just removing the word “guaranteed” since, you know, there’s no guarantee.

Still waiting on your Fanatics order? **

Seriously though, between USPS, UPS, & FedEx, I might have had more issues with FedEx than the others combined.

If its FedEx Ground, good luck. Those are just locally owned franchises and its a crap shoot. I've noticed the ones in Starkville have filthy banged up trucks, their drivers wear the shirts untucked, hats backwards, just don't give any damns or fvcks it appears. The service from FedEx overnight and 2 days seems to still be ok but Ground is just bad

Imagine caring if your delivery driver's shirt is tucked in.

Since Amazon started delivering their own packages, I probably have the most problems with them. I've had a lot of orders that are just delayed without explanation or visibility.

I try to only order from Amazon when I can't find it locally, can't find it anywhere else, and/or absolutely need it asap (i.e. kids' school projects, home repair project, etc.), so it's super frustrating when I order "in the next hour to get it by Friday" and then it just mysteriously gets delayed until the next Thursday.

Have you called? Sounds like the seller sent FedEx notice and tracking number was created but FedEx hasn’t been given the package. Happens all the time with wine shipments.

Nationwide driver shortage, but sounds like the packages haven’t made it to FedEx yet.

I second this. Even being in the Memphis area FedEx has messed up or delayed every shipment to my house or office since June 2020. Starting an online chat is the best way to get something done and save a copy of the transcript in case they don't follow thru.

Yes. Automated run around.

Store/Seller broke shipment into different packages and shipped the low value stuff usps. FedEx shipment was supposed to be here well before usps package.

Usps package was delivered today.

FedEx package did hit Memphis today.

Other shipment from a different transaction was ordered a day before these. It’s still in Kansas City. No apparent reason why.

Whatever. It’s sad because of how it use to run. They use to amaze me how efficiently they use to move packages across the country.

The hub in Memphis was 40% understaffed a month ago. I suspect that has only worsened. They are routing to wherever they have holding/sorting capacity, I suppose. Look at the adventure my recent package had. Also, this was delivered on a Saturday. I had a package delivered on Sunday the week before. View attachment 21438

Call them.

Good luck with that. Those 17er's suck when you call them. Get ready for total run around 1hr on phone and get ready to call them at least 2-3 more times before anything gets done. I used to be able to maintain a relatively nice attitude on first couple of calls and then raise 17n hell until somebody tells me something if I have to call a 3rd time but screw it I let it fly 1st call nowadays cause its just nothing getting done until you lose your ****.

I think Ocala FL is an error stuck to that barcode. I'm no FedEx insider, but I have worked at a big dumb company ... It would appear your package arrived in Ocala 1 minute before it arrived in Bossier City.

Most likely someone fat fingered Ocala and it was never really there. They had to pencil whip the departure from Ocala on Thursday to get everything squared up.. That's some **** my lumber mills would do with barcodes back in the day. I have had a rail car of lumber arrive in Japan 3 days after leaving Longview, Washington. Hit the button again and it's magically back in the US in Utah or something.

Purchased an item, in Texas, Wednesday evening,

2 day shipping.
Picked up Friday,
got to Memphis, early Saturday Morning, Spent 45 hours there.

Got to my location, in North, Ms. this AM.

I'm ok with that.

A local store owner that deals with them daily, says they have so much turnover of drivers,
that they don't know which end is up.

Looks like a good job opportunity for a young qualified person, (guy/gal).

All of that makes sense, but this was the most basic small cube, 2lb package. Check out the time and route from origin in LA to here; it never hit the hub in Memphis, which is the norm.

I think it left Pearl and went to Olive Branch and sat somewhere for a few days until they figure it out. That barcode system is weird. It never actually arrived in Ocala other than the original 17 up. Or maybe someone saw that Ocala 17 up and shopped there. I just have a feeling computer error was the issue, not labor.

But your overall point is well taken. Nobody want to worky.
