Here's Where You Can Find The Fastest Speed Limit Sign In America - SlashGear
It's not uncommon to see speed limit signs in the 70s and even up to 80 mph, but oe place has a speed limit that's even higher. Here's where it is.
No kidding? That’s cool.It may look less sexy on a sign than what that article discusses, but the truth is a lot more dramatic than that. Lots of interstates out west have speed limits posted in the form:
70
Trucks
Night
Meaning for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of miles straight, if it’s not night or you’re not in a truck, the speed limit is whatever you want it to be, baby!
Back in the day I burnt out the original engine in my 240sx that way

Yeah no doubt. Honestly I can’t swear it hasn’t changed coz it was in the late 90s when I drove all through there last. But at least that’s how it used to be.No kidding? That’s cool.
Had no idea. I’ve been out west but it was on flights. Would love to take a cross country trip in an RV one day.Yeah no doubt. Honestly I can’t swear it hasn’t changed coz it was in the late 90s when I drove all through there last. But at least that’s how it used to be.
Huh? I find Lexington drivers to be the slowest of anywhere I’ve ever lived. Most seem like they have no where to be or they’re on Valium. Except of course pickup truck dudes, but that’s everywhere. The idiot drivers around here need training wheels, not a license to go faster.
I'm in Pike County but, of course, I'm familiar with Lexington.Huh? I find Lexington drivers to be the slowest of anywhere I’ve ever lived. Most seem like they have no where to be or they’re on Valium. Except of course pickup truck dudes, but that’s everywhere.
Wilmore has the slowest drivers on average that I have ever seen. I've driven coast to coast. I just got back from a year and a half living on the road in an RV. I covered a huge portion of Arizona, a huge portion of Colorado, and I went as far as the Oregon and Northern California coasts on this particular trip. I've driven everywhere from Washington State to The Florida Keys, and I still come to the conclusion that Wilmore has the slowest drivers in the country.Huh? That would rock. There’s also some way to go by Amtrak west coast to east coast and you wind up going through most of the states for only a few hundred dollars total. I would kinda like to do that someday. Kind of see the country old school and listen to Muddy Waters and Woody Guthrie while I was doing it.Had no idea. I’ve been out west but it was on flights. For sure but that sounds like a long time with some strangers. Lol. I could see that not ending well. That would rock. Pretty accurate. I drive 130 from SATX to Georgetown omw to Dallas several times a year. 85 is just a posted suggestion. I will tell you though, you DO NOT want to hit a wild boar out there. It was a big problem initially, the wildlife seems to have gotten the message lately though.Texas dgaf about speed limits. I've seen 80 on a rural two lane road without shoulders really. I've seen 65 on a residential. For the most part, you can go whatever the hell speed you feel comfortable with out there.
Yeah I would prefer to bring a crew. Although I did take a lot of cross-country train trips even in sleeper cars in Ukraine and I never had any problems with that. Made a couple of friends. For sure but that sounds like a long time with some strangers. Lol. I could see that not ending well.
Oh that sounds wild. Yeah my dream is like a crew of a few that fits comfortably in an RV and just go for like 2 weeks or however long.Yeah I would prefer to bring a crew.
