I am glad my parents got vaccinated as I think it was worth whatever risk the vaccine presented. (thankfully not the J&J version) But I think it was BS to threaten my paycheck in order to get me to comply...when I am relatively healthy and had covid twice already. I never once gave someone crap for getting the shots. Maybe one time for someone who got a 2nd or 3rd booster and then they got covid again, just to give them a hard time.

In answer to your question, yes. But I don’t know Fauci personally. Professionally, he has a reputation as a serious hardass, but not as a liar. I don’t know, and I was never in a position to decide, how your situation should have been handled. It sucks that anyone was hurt.

We limit tidal volume to 6-8 cc/kg ideal body weight with a plateau pressure of <= 30 based on data from a randomized trial in ARDS to try and limit ventilator induced lung injury and improve outcomes. Ventilators are used when you can not maintain patients oxygen concentration at a safe level by any other method.
Remdesivir is used in situations where it has been shown in trials to improve outcomes, but not in others.

I am trying to provide information from someone with expertise, as an antidote to information from those without expertise. I don’t take what you say personally. I just feel like Misinformation posted unopposed in certain circumstances is dangerous.
