You do realize ivermectin is for people as well, correct? You can disagree with people, but when you come out and say ivermectin is a horse medicine it makes you look extremely ignorant

Technically, you are correct. But these people were getting the drug from veterinarians and using high enough doses to cause toxicity, and a run on calls to poison control centers. And it’s only used in people for worms, off label for scabies, and the double blind randomized clinical trial in 1300+ COVID patients published in the NEJM showed no benefit. But I’ve only been in the medical field for 35 years, so what the heck do I know?

Hey, it’s a free country, you can believe anything you want to believe. Of course, you can also be uninformed, inexperienced, out of your depth. But don’t worry, just cry fake news, say fauci is a member of the deep state, and you can ignore all the dead Covid patients in refrigerated trucks in New York, the lack of any good studies supporting your position, and say people in Medicine are part of some left wing conspiracy, and that only you know the real truth…,

No. I have personal experience with sicker than crap Covid patients, like a lot of my colleagues. But hey, maybe all those people in medicine that got exhausted from taking care of all those sick covid folks made it up, right?

Is it possible that covid is real AND fauci is full of ****? Or is it just easier to picture others as unhinged covid deniers so you can build this strawman?

Don’t know how to respond to that. Not supposed to reveal personal information. I can say that Dexamethasone, Remdesivir, and baricitanib or tocilizumab are treatments that might be indicated in the hospital for Covid depending on how sick you are. Paxlovid if outpatient and high risk for progression. And Fauci may be seriously difficult to work for, made a mistake on public mask wearing initially because there was a massive shortage of PPE for health care workers, but he knows his stuff. And to the mods-I apologize, but I have a hard time ignoring disinformation when I dealt with the victims of that disinformation for 2 1/2 years. Rant over.
