People that say Harry Kane sucks or is a chocker obviously don't really understand the game. A very funny thread today. England sucks yet they advanced....

Just tuned in to a little France Belgium, France looks like they’ve been in control in the second half. Belgian GK made a great save that could have snucked into the corner. KDB made a great pass that gave Belgian superb opportunity but France player made a great defensive play to stop the chance.

France finally gets through and only about 5-7 mins left. Nice passing around the box to get that set up. Deflection helped that get by.

Is France going to out-Greece, Greece Euro '04?? 3 goals: 2 via "own goal" and 1 via PK, in 4 matches!!!

The funny thing is, as opposed to Greece, 2004, France is loaded with offensive talent!!!

Did someone set off a smoke bomb at the Portugal-Slovenia game?
yes...it happens all the time...big former Soviet/Yugoslavia/Balkan nations thing. Not sure why, TBH, let alone how they sneak them into stadiums these days.

They should play the Euro's in America. Our fields and stadiums are way better.

OK, fair enough. Slovenia's PK attempts were not great. But they were on frame. Dude saved all three. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
Yeah, he’s definitely “Man of the Match.” Not only did he guess right and snuff out three PKs, he saved that crucial breakaway by Slovenia in OT. Granted, Slovenia could’ve taken that one better, but he still got it done.

Is anyone watching Austria-Turkey? Best match of the Euros, so far, IMO. Incredible action, some spectacular plays/goals and palpable tension, all in the pouring rain. Turkey up 2-1 with ~5 minutes + stoppage left. Would love to see this go to OT, just to see 30 more min of this.

Top 5 all-time save by the Turkish keeper in the last minute of stoppage time. Amazing game! Turkey wins 2-1.

If only the "top" teams would play with that kind of passion and energy. If you missed this, you need to watch the replay. Turks will be partying tonight and I bet even the Austrians will be too, given their lack of success for decades and how well they've played.

Absolutely phenomenal match AND proof that you DO NOT need a roster filled with high-end talent to make it out of group play AND advance a round or two. COACHING and DEVELOPMENT MATTER!!!

Great quarterfinal match-ups - should be fun. And I’m off so I can see them all.

Now Germany ties it. Why was Nico Williams subbed off? He was an outlet all game.

Nico was the most dangerous attacker on the pitch... not sure why you would take him off. Olmo was the key to the game. Sucks for Pedri, but Olmo with a goal and assist.

A shame that Spain-Germany and France-Portugal are quarterfinal games, as each would've been finals worthy. Anyway, the first one was a great match to watch - so much drama with Spain eventually prevailing. And Portugal-France is really heating up now, as both teams easily could've had goals in the last few minutes.

My family in England is happy with the path England got but me as a Germany supporter was like how lucky or unlucky as the case may be lol. Oh well. Rooting for Spain now.

Should've taken Ronaldo off instead of Fernandes, as Ronaldo has done nothing...other than complain about not getting long balls into the box to him. Yes, he can always have a great moment, which is why he's on, I'm sure, but...

Edit: Ronaldo has to do better with that chance he just had at the start of the OT.

Nice burst from both teams at the end to settle it, but we’re onto penalties instead.

Well, France is through on PKs, as Costa didn't make one save, despite his glowing record.
