Eugene is doing great at Mavs. Hope Jaden and Cliff can make it to NBA in the future.

Yeah I agree it's bad for us. That's why I am hoping Cliff can be drafted one day. But I don't think JY, Myles, Montez would be much better after leaving RU. Looking back, Eugene made significant improvement and developed new tools every year. He started to play basketball at 16, and he has strong learning ability. But JY, Myles, Montez? Not even close.

Myles probably won't look "better" because he won't have the same role/playing time. But he will be more in the spotlight playing for a top 10 team.

Montez is just flat out bad and anything other than being athletic.

JY may put up better numbers but that's probably going to be a product of the system and talent around him

Myles is on a team that has a very good shot at the Final 4. I do think he will improve also because Cronin is a very good coach.

Mathis is his own worst enemy. Appeared to me that he only cared about himself and sulked when he wasn’t “getting his”. Was either incapable or unwilling to improve his game. He will appear to be better than he is playing St, John’s frantic, sometimes undisciplined, style.

Completely agree with you about Young. Needs to cut down on the turnovers too.

I care about the guys who stuck with the program. This is Caleb’s, Geo’s and Ron’s team. Love those three guys m. Good bye everyone else.

Anyone rooting for Eugene doesn't have an ounce of self respect for our program, given that he hated current members of our team that you all love.

Agree. These kids all want to play somewhere for money. They for most part don't care about a program success. You get people telling high recruits that kids leave Rutgers, succeed and get paid.

He wouldn't be anywhere near doing this if Pike didn't take a chance on him and coach him up. Man, some of our fans...

Who doesn't he like? Ron Harper has shown love to EO on Instagram a few times, so doubt it is him. And you can't be talking about Geo.. You said players our fans "love."

is he going to make the final roster?
He has signed a two-way contract, so he will be on the final roster. Speaking as a Mavs fan, I also think he will likely get a real NBA contract if he stays healthy and keeps playing this way. He is already better than Josh Green and Tyrell Terry, and you knew how good his leaning ability is.

I know it’s “water under the bridge”, but I have to wonder if it was simply Yeboah’s arrival that let Eugene to leave, or if someone didn’t want him to take a medical redshirt here. I guess we’ll never know but it certainly was strange.

Let's not forget, Eugene developed from a raw, mistake-prone player into a much more
finished product by the time he transferred to Oregon. Pike gets as much credit as
anyone for his current success. Other programs weren't exactly knocking down the
door when RU was recruiting him

Agreed. And you’re being generous. He was an unranked/unknown kid with barely any interest from even low majors. If we took a kid of that pedigree today this board would have a meltdown. Dana Altman got a completely different person by the time he arrived.
