I’m a DirecTV Stream customer so I’ve been following this dispute. Everything I’ve read/heard is that this will VERY likely be resolved in time for Monday Night Football. They’re using weeks 1/2 of college football and US Open coverage as leverage, but no way will they miss the first NFL game of the year on ESPN.
I’m obviously a big college football fan and also happen to be a massive tennis nut, so this has been pissing me off. I signed up for YouTubeTV which has a 21 day free trial, so that’s always an option if it comes to that.

According to this article from May of this year you should have access to NFL games carried on ABC/ESPN.

ESPN+ will have all of the games that will air on ESPN and ABC. That list includes 20 Monday Night Football matchups, a Week 18 Saturday doubleheader, a Monday night wild card game and a divisional round game.
ESPN+ will have one exclusive broadcast as part of a Week 7 Monday Night Football doubleheader when the Los Angeles Chargers visit the Arizona Cardinals. Kickoff for that matchup is set for 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 21.
