Charles Barkley's Inside the NBA future is contingent on Ernie Johnson.

Inside the NBA is one of the most entertaining sport shows to ever come along, without Barkley it will never be the same.

All good things must come to an end, and it sounds like that time may have come for the sport’s best studio show.

Honestly, I think it might be better if they step aside while still beloved, instead of hang around too long and gradually devolve into decrepit caricatures of their former selves, the way some others (like Dick Vitale) did.

Charles was brutal towards Ernie when they first started. One of those "I played and you didn't" attitudes.

But then Ernie got cancer twice and over the years Charles has become his best friend and wont let anyone disrespect him. Pretty cool.

Dang. This is the only part of the NBA I still like.

The best part of watching the NBA. It won’t be the same.
