OT: Eagles trade for Michael Bennett

[mikebal9]

Look out NFC East QBs. The Eagles' pass rush just got even better.

What did they give up?

[mikebal9]

Marcus Johnson, who I guess would be the #5 or 6 WR on the team, and a 5 for Bennett and a 7. So basically, nothing.

That's odd. Salary dump by Seattle? Either way worth a shot for Philly.

Don’t like this for the Eagles.

What could possibly be the downside for the Eagles ?

They are basically replacing Vinny Curry who will be cut or traded with Bennett. Eagles still need to make some moves to get under the cap, but it looks like another good move by Roseman.

In other NFC East news, the Giants get a pretty good LB in Ogletree, although one with a pretty big cap number.

Well then he'll fit right in on that team.
BTW, did anyone else see the picture of Malcolm Jenkins just knocking over Chris Hogan on the last play of the Super Bowl ?
In plain view. It was pass interference and the Patriots should have gotten another play. Not that I cared who won. I don't care for either team. But New England should have gotten another play.

Thanks for reminding us you’re an ex ref. Now go stand in the corner.

I haven't seen a replay that shows both Brady and Hogan in the same shot, but if Brady was out of the pocket at the time it is legal to knock receivers down, it is something that Carroll has been teaching the Seahawks for years.

If not and they call Illegal contact, then the Pats get an under 2-3% chance hit a Hail Mary. I'll take my chances with that and say the Eagles still would have won.

Fit right in? Explain.

There was contact all over the place on that play- both ways. No one is making a call on that. Sour grapes by Kbee.

Nah. I'm a Giants fan. I could care less between the Patriots and the Eagles.
I just saw what I saw....Jenkins just obviously with both hands shoved the receiver to the ground. The refs pretty much weren't calling lots of stuff throughout the game, but this one was real obvious. That's all.

Shocker, Giants fan bitching about the game...still.

Hogan didn’t hit the ground. Watch NFL FX of the Super Bowl showing the angle from the other end zone. He pushed him to the middle of the field. He didn’t knock him down.

Howie continues to play chess while the other 31 GMs play checkers. Howie trades Torrey Smith for CB Darryl Worley on the Panthers, a 14 game starter. Also shaves $5M off the cap.

I think he’s too slow to play defensive back
