Raiola joined the Huskers as the No. 11 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300 after a late flip from Georgia to Nebraska in December 2023.

Speculation is that if Oregon QB Dante Moore stays in school, Oregon will pay them both big bucks. Raiola would be the backup with the possibility of redshirting if he plays in four games or less.

I guess if Oregon wants to pay both QB's like elite P4 QB's and Raiola is ok to use a redshirt and start in 2027...That would give him an extra year of massive payout in college.

Serious question about college football...one of the things Rutgers used to pride itself in and there are other schools that did as well, was how well their football team did in the classroom and having them graduate. With all of these transfers- it would take kids a good 7 years to get a degree...do any of these players actually have to go to class anymore? How do they even track it anymore.

Miami QB was asked if he went to class this week. His response was “I graduated 2 years ago”.

Says it all.

Well if he signed a contract... Of course he can move on! WTF do contracts mean nowadays?
Here's the thing . . suppose I contract to work for you, and I breach the contract. It is very rare for a court to order that I work for you; the courts think that is involuntary servitude. Maybe a court will forbid me from working for a competitor -- more likely the court will only award you damages, which I can pay out of the new salary.

You are another one who did not listen to the whole interview, where he said he graduated 2 years ago & has been taking Grad classes towards a Master degree for the past two years!

Is he going to the classes or just enrolled in a graduate course and used that enrollment for eligibility .

This is my understanding. He's in a program but he is not, nor has been, taking classes.

Short answer: he’s technically enrolled as a graduate student at Miami — but he hasn’t actually been attending real classes for a while.

Here’s what’s actually going on with Carson Beck’s academics at Miami:

  • Beck graduated from the University of Georgia a couple years ago before transferring to Miami to use his remaining NCAA eligibility.
  • He’s listed as a graduate transfer at Miami, which means he’s “enrolled” in some kind of graduate/degree program to stay eligible.

Classes dont matter anymore. I dont recall hearing about someone not qualifiying because of academics in a while, and if it happens, I bet a lawsuit would follow from player

So what? I’m sure he’s taking online graduate classes. Everything is available online for everyone these days. Not just for athletes. With Chat GPT it’s a big joke really.
