It's basically more expensive Little Caesar's.

I'm not a pizza snob by any means. I'll eat Pizza Hut, papa john's, dominos- whatever. I'm not particularly interested in your opinion if you only eat local or premium pizza places because that's not a relevant comparison. Obviously I'd rather eat Lost Pizza but sometimes you just want a quick cheap dinner, or you're feeding a crowd.

Haven't tried Hungry Howie's (there are no locations here), but I'll have to try Lost Pizza. Looks like it's very near the hotel we use in Columbus for football.

The only thing I order there is the pizza sub deluxe. Basically a supreme pizza calzone. It's good.

It was available in Athens when I lived there as a 20-something & we would often order it for parties. Gumby Bread was an entire XL pizza of cheesy bread cut into small strips. It was cheap & they delivered late.

That's all I knew of it, until several years later a friend & I drove to Myrtle Beach (The Redneck Riviera) to see George Thorogood & the Destroyers at the House of Blues; where I took the hottest shot of Jack Daniels in my life. When I say hot, I don't mean it was room temperature. They must've left the bottle outside in the sun. I almost threw up. I had to give my buddy the universal sign, the index finger, for hold on a second don't talk & let me compose myself & mentally power through this.

Long story longer, when we finally got back to the hotel, after a stop for more booze, the only thing open was Hungry Howie's. I don't remember what pizza we ordered. However, that garlic butter crust was the best thing either of us had ever tasted. I haven't had it since that night.

Since I'm reminiscing, the next morning he woke up early to shower so we could get on our way. He talked to me about some nonsense, so I rolled over to get more sleep & my bed collapsed.

Speaking of George Thorogood, if you haven't literally taken One Scotch, One Bourbon, & One Beer each time he says it in the song you haven't truly lived.

And the bourbon we drank was actually TN whiskey, Dickel, out of a DECANTUR THAT LOOKED LIKE ELVIS.

My son works at Lost Pizza in jackson on Northside drive.

Go in there five minutes before closing, and order a medium thin crust Meat Lovers. He'll love you for it.

The one at Reservoir is far superior to Lil Ceasers, Dominoes and P Johns. Can’t hold a candle to Pizza Shack or Lost Pizza though b

Eh it’s alright. I’ll eat it if I’m hungry. Heh Lost Pizza is overpriced garbage. It’s a $15 Digorno.

I go to the one in Ridgeland on occasion when I'm out that way but it is not particularly tops to me. Most of the time I go to the Lost Pizza in Jackson for the Three Cheese Spaghetti. I have to say HH is better than Pizza Hut, Little Ceasers and Dominos in that order (all are a little cheap with the toppings). While the best overall is Pizza Shack in Madison and Jackson, I'm hoping soon that Blaze Pizza gets here soon. That was the absolute best fast food pizza I have ever eaten.

Was in Dothan for a few weeks and ate it a few times after exhausting days when I didn’t feel like going out. It was better than any chain pizza I’ve ever had. Really wish we had one somewhere on the coast

I've always thought the toppings (quality and portions) were better at Hungry Howies than the other chains.

I'd go Pizza Hut>Hungry Howies>Papa Johns>Dominos>Little Caesars

Their pizza is delicious, actually. Maybe you should have done a little research? It says in all of their ads that it is take and bake pizza.

To address the topic at hand, Hungry Howie's is probably my favorite of the major chains. The flavored crust is better than it has any right to be.

Never tried HH, I guess because I only tend to notice them when we're traveling in Florida. May give it a shot with the kids next time we're down there.

Since we're talking pizza, how does anyone still eat Pizza Hut? 25 years ago those used to be THE place in small town MS to get pizza. But today... I may force myself to eat it if someone offers it for free... but I couldn't tell you how long it's been since I bought a pizza from there, I'd guess nearly 10 years. The ones here in NE MS became slow, disgusting, and could never get your order right.

I have no problem eating Dominos, Papa Johns, Little Caesars. But just the thought of Pizza Hut makes me nauseous.

Research? Are you 17ing serious? Do you research your fast food restaurants before you go? Before you went to chic fil a the first time did you do research to make sure the chicken was fried? Get the 17 out of here with that ****. I don’t care how delicious you think it is, Mr Murphy, but when I buy food from a fast food place or restaurant to take home, I expect the **** to be cooked.

Pizza Hut tries, but it misses the mark.

Pizza Hut is great......if you want to play Ms. Pac Man while waiting for your pizza to cook.

Also, regarding Papa Murphy's. If you are too cheap to buy an oven for your pizza establishment, I am too cheap (and lazy) to buy your 17ing pizza.

Don’t tell that to lawdawg. He yelps every fast food restaurant before he goes. Because people yelp fast food places.

But that's what makes them unique. Otherwise, it'd be just another pizza joint.

I love it. I think of it as the opposite as someone else who replied. It is a cheaper option than PH, PJ, Domino's etc. but just as good (sometimes better to me, depending on my mood) and waaaaay better than Little Caesar's but just slightly more expense.

At first I was confused,
I was antagonized,
You saying I could never eat without yelp on my side.
But then I spent just a minute reading back over this thread,
and then I said...
YOU MEANT THE OTHER LAWDAWG INSTEAD!

Thanks for the toast, Gatsby.

I recalled another detail today. The House of Blues had a bathroom attendant, which always makes me feel awkward. Yet, instead of gum, condoms, cigarettes, cologne etc this guy was selling cold beer from an ice chest. When the bar got too crowded we hit the head for the next round. It was brilliant!

Damn. We are bored. Need football. We have recently argued about pizza, pools, Jeeps, and beer. All of which are awesome across the spectrum. I will eat any pizza, swim in any pool, drive any Jeep, and drink any beer (that has less than 3 words in it's name.)

For the record I am guilty on the other three, so might as well jump in on the pizza. No opinion on the others, but Papa Murphy's sucks. It's a Red Barron at best, maybe the ingredients are good, but home ovens suck at cooking pizza.

Screw HH. It was two years ago when I ordered two BBQ chicken pizzas for the Super Bowl. Those were the first BBQ pizzas I’ve ever seen that didn’t have any sauce on them, just meat and cheese. The manager put me down in his book for two free pizzas and I still haven’t redeemed them.
