Just FYI for anyone who has Direct tv and not under contract. I just called and threatened to cancel and got my bill cut from $117 to $65. I think with all the options now days out there for streaming services. They are more than willing to work with people to keep them as customers.

This year I got a YouTubeTV subscription for $40/mo & no contract. I subscribe for football season, then cancel. Plenty of sports channels.
Yep, I'll never go back to cable after cutting the cord. Hulu live TV works great for me. More than enough sports channels.
Agree with above. Local channels, all the espns, all fox sports, sec, btn, and all other channels I want for $50/month with ps Vue. Cant find a reason to need cable.
Really? I have heard people who like it, but I have never really looked into it. Do you get the BIG10, ESPN
All, cbs sports, locals, btn, fs1/2, Espn, espn 2, espn u, fox sports net, nbc sports, SEC , etc....

I've been doing free trials of YouTube TV to watch the Nebraska games and I love it. You can get a week per google account, so if you have a few logins around your household you can try it out the rest of the season, you just have to remember to set it to cancel.
It's $40 a month, all the channels, and IMO their interface is the best one I've seen. I'd say YouTube TV #1, PS Vue #2.
And the big thing is NO CONTRACT. So you can cancel any time, they don't jack the price up to triple after 6 months, no BS.
In-laws have DirecTV Now and I think it sucks.
The positive for me is that it doesn’t lag behind the actual game like psvue. Somehow, over a whole game, by the end on Vue, it’s like a minute behind for me.
As with anyone though, make sure you have internet you can rely on.
Also, their streaming app for the phones works great.
I used to have CL Prism. Canceled it 2 years ago. Now I just go to the espn app or fox app and my CL login still lets me watch ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, FS2 and BTN. So I think I will keep doing that as long as possible. It isn't as convenient as having a subscription but I also find I don't waste as much time watching games I don't really care about.
Cut off Comcast TV several months ago but kept the internet for steaming. Wasn’t long before I was getting messages that I was over my 1 tb/month allotment, something I had done many times in the last without a notice or threat of additional charges. Guess that’s their response to cord cutters.

My internet averages 60mb and it’s plenty fast. Loads very quick.
Worst thing I found about it is rewind and forward. If you skip forward and don’t press play again in like 2 seconds. It goes right back, wasting time.
Buy a roku. They’re $50. Still come out way ahead.
I still have a basic cable package. I used to watch the nfl network and nfl redzone through the nfl mobile app. However this year it is no longer exclusive to Verizon and they made a bunch of crappy changes to it. The biggest change being you can no longer stream the app on a wireless network. You can only use it by burning through your so called "unlimited" celluar data.
That led me to start testing out the PS Vue and to be able to watch NFL Redzone on a big screen instead of my phone is amazing. I can get more sports channels and can watch it on any tv or device for $60 a month.
I'm limited to only one tv with my current cable company and if I wanted to upgrade to be able to do the same thing as the VUE does, It would cost me around $280/ month plus extra equipment fees. That is an incredibly bad deal.

The Wife and I cut the Dishtv "cord" a few weeks back. Dish doesnt care to make any kind of deals. Around here you have very few choices. I choose CenturyLink for internet, which Dish used for internet although through CL its 5 bucks a month cheaper and also free upgrade to 20MB speed(! lol) which is max for home vadsl here. We also went with HuluTV with a Roku Express. Hulu has been fine so far, no service drop-outs or buffering. I dont like Hulus interface a whole lot but the Wife uses it for the most part. I watch most things on my PC, so the 2 screen limit is perfect. Monthly bill works out to around $90 which aint to bad. Saved us $40-$50. Just make sure you have the speed, equipment and check your IP data caps.

youtube tv is the best streaming app. in my opinion.

$65. Time Warner (now Spectrum) jacked up my internet when I unbundled. 200+Mbps down. Uncapped. Incredibly reliable.
I think internet is $55/month. 100mbps. Provider is via the town owned company. No issues.
I did the exact same thing with DISH... the key is to call the cancel service telephone number (NOT customer service)—-99.9% they will do whatever to keep your business. Mine went from 126 to 63 with everything including HBO. And then from then on ANY time u have problems call cancel service number.
Well eventually Internet service rates will become more competitive as well when 5G kicks in. Should become available in some areas in 2019 and widespread (except in rural settings) during 2020. The cable guys are going to have to become more friendly at that time and/or lower their rates to stay in business.

I pay $60 with Hulu and I have all the movie networks. I dumped DirecTV. When I walked into the UPS store with all the DirecTV stuff, the lady behind the counter, said " We have another one Jan." And then another lady came out of the back.
They told me they have a few come in each day.
I have a firestick kn one of mine and Roku on the others. I like the remote alot more for the Roku and it was cheaper.
I get everything I did with cable I think. I only watched like twenty channels at the most. I watch sports, history channel, AMC, fx, and some others. I have alot of channels.
I dont know what RFDtv is, but I will check if you give me some more information.
