Oklabama, the point is this. We either have a 2nd Amendment with "the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" or we don't. There is no in between ground. Once the Left Wing Democrates find a way to ban a semi-automatic rifle of any kind we have gutted the 2nd Amendment. They won't stop there. They will keep chipping away until we lose our rights to keep and beak any gun.
We either stand up for the 2nd Amendment or we lose it.
Armed citizens prevents armed takeover by our Leftist regime. Without this checks and balance, we would've been subjected to tanks in our neighborhoods decades ago.

The braintrust of Japan in WW2, on the strength of winning some early battles in the Pacific theater were actually plotting to invade our mainland on the west coast.
One of the main reasons they didn't was the fact that our citizens had guns.

I don't worry about enslavement by the elitists in pur government for one large reason. Who could they have fo their dirty work? The military and law enforcement is largely made up of folks just like you and me. The end result of any order to the military to violate our freedoms or use force against us would result in the removal and imprisonment of those who tried to give that order.
I'm strongly opposed to anything that infringes on the Second Amendment because the right to self defense is an inalienable one. It was not granted to us by our government. We're born with that right. The Framers got it right in explicitly removing the ability of our government from infringing on our right to self defense.
This is just an interesting fact for those who are supporting the Black Lives Movement.

During that same time period of time 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police involved killings.
It stands to reason that most of the police involved in killings of black males were justified shootings. That is black males killed either in the act of a crime or in the apprehension of a black male who was in the process of committing a crime. Such as the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson.
I can't get around the idea that the Black Lives Movement isn't or won't focus on the over-whelming cause of murder of black men, which is black men killing black men.
Chicago is the murder capital of the US. We all know that the vast majority of the Chicago murder rate is black men killing black men and these murders are connected to the black illegal drug business. Black gang members killing other black gang member.
Now, we know 5 white cops were murdered in Dallas two days ago by a black man who hates whites and was bent on murdering white men who were cops.
I don't know how any reasonable can make any sense out of any of this.
I think we are going to learn that the killing of the black man in Minnesota by a white cop was a justified killing. And, when we do we will have another incident where the left wing political established have used another unfortunate incident to call for gun control.

I was reading about the Dallas man they thought was a suspect in ambush. He was carrying a rifle on the street. That's not illegal in Texas and never has been. A rifle or shotgun is legal but has a stipulation about intent. You only need a permit to carry handguns. They took my Remington 870 away temporarily eight years for having it loaded. No charges and I got it back minus the ammo loaded. I guess they thought I was mad at someone. I don't have a record of arrest anywhere. I'm white, well I have a farmers tan. The only thing I could think of was the ammo wasn't bird shot.
The Left's agenda under the current regime is, in part, to racially divide this country. The obvious plan is to fuel ethnic dissent to keep the African-American and Hispanic vote trending toward/firmly entrenched within the Democratic party. Despite past Democratic atrocities committed against African-Americans, the media over time has convinced them that conservative policies are harmful and that institutional enslavement and economic manipulation/oppression are in their best interests.
We've seen the Left propagandize that people of faith are standing in the way of our/their Progress. They and their media lackeys have portrayed religion as an evil that needs to be transformed to align with their positions. They view the Bible and our Constitution as being excessively pliable and should conform to their plan if enough pressure is applied. They believe both can be "modernized" and manipulated to become more in tune with their agenda. Thus, we have the faith, values, and freedoms divide.
Under the current POTUS, the job market has fizzled the past 8 years - an orchestrated plan. Coupled with low literacy rates and college students with their massive student loan debt, they can't find suitable employment to become either established or to pay off their debt. Without jobs, they can't family plan. They've become desperate and easily manipulated. Our youth are turning to political candidates and party that "promises" them a free way out. They are now proclaiming, WE NEED SOCIALISM! Thus, the young vs. established divide.
With the expected coronation of Queen Hillary, the orchestrated agenda will be to gender divide the country. Entice and manipulate the women voters to further solidify and identify with the Democratic party. We will likely see a significant uptick in abortion advocacy and anti-gun rhetoric.
We're seeing the Left's greed and power lust win out over basic humanity issues. People of need - forced or otherwise - can be so easily manipulated.

The police right there on the drag ( runs beside the University) they tear gassed and clubbed the hell out of those hippies. Another time at the capital but no clubs were used. Selective on the right to assembly. LBJ was POTUS at that time.

Police Chief David Brown told the whole world and every US Citizen that the killer of those Dallas Police officers did it because he hated white people and wanted to kill white people, especially white cops.
Then Obama tells the whole world and every US Citizen that we need to be careful about assigning motive to the Dallas police killer as we just don't know what his motive might have been.
So, we have a very articulate Black Dallas Police Chief working with a white Dallas Mayor speaking about what they know as the facts of the case as they are there on the scene with direct knowledge of the killers motive. The killer told them what his motives were. So, do you believe these two very professional people at the scene.
Or, do you believe a black POTUS, Obama, who has been out of the country during the whole mess and who likely hasn't even talked to anyone in Dallas?
