I almost never root for SEC schools (I am a bit of an academic hardass), but am making an exception for Mississippi State.
Not sure if it was SportsCenter or some other ESPN program, but I came across a story of a son taking his father, an MSU fan suffering from Alzheimer's Disease to the tournament as a Father's Day gift.
For this reason, they have become my sentimental pick.
I also think they are well set up to make the best-of-3 series. As the only undefeated team in their respective foursome, they can take a loss and still be in the driver's seat. Plus, having thrown him yesterday, Oregon State is likely to be without their ace for the rest of this week.
In the other group of four, I think tonight is a pivotal game. Having already beaten them once last week, Texas Tech needs to take out the #2 Gators. If Florida wins tonight, it probably allows them to throw their #1 and #2 (on short rest) starters, both of whom were 1st round picks in the 2018 MLB Draft, against Arkansas...
Should UF be able to fight their way out of the loser's bracket, they will be spent on pitching, but may have the bats to challenge the MSU/OSU winner.

Any of y'all watching this fiasco between Arkansas and Oregon State? The top of the 9th was a bad dream for Arkansas. Pop up in foul territory, 2 outs, three guys come to it, catch it and you win it all, 3-2. Nope, ball falls in middle of all 3 standing there. Guy ties game up with single, next guy hits 2 run homer.

Yep, my 14u team just lost out last night in the district all star tournament. We made it to the final three and ran out of pitching.
