One of the coolest places in New Jersey that many people still don’t know about. Oldest weekly rodeo in America. Free parking and low food prices. It is a good idea to order tickets online before the rodeo because they have been selling out more and more lately. They also have a Western store right across from the rodeo grounds. Opens this Saturday for the 2025 season. PBR and Extreme Bulls events will also be coming to Woodstown / Pilesgrove this Summer.

We went years ago. My biggest memory was feeling like you were in a completely different state.
Yes, there is a myth, among New Jerseyans and out of staters, that the whole state is a giant suburb for Philadelphia and New York City. Although a lot of land has been destroyed, we still have millions of acres of forest, marshes, and farmland. People just need to get off the highways and discover The Glades, The Pinelands, High Point, tons of lakes, the Appalachian Trail and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. I personally hate cities and avoid them like the plague. I go into Philadelphia only for Phillies games and every couple years a symphony at the Kimmel Center. In the last 20 years, I think I went into New York City twice to visit people in hospitals and a few Rutgers football games. I will take a day at Cowtown, High Point, Colliers Mills, Forsythe, The Glades , etc. over a city any day.

You are making me feel bad.I went into Newark five days a week for over thirty years
Lol—Don’t feel bad. Everyone has their own thing. Some people consider anyplace with sidewalks and two traffic lights a city lol.

Whenever people ask me how I started hunting and I tell them I grew up hunting in New Jersey, they are shocked. You can see the confusion on their face trying to connect those dots.
