Maybe this was posted, maybe not. He worked his *** off. "Almost" had an offer from Yale.

"Kupp was a late bloomer who never possessed eye-popping straight-line speed. He comes from two generations of NFL players -- his father, Craig, played one season at quarterback and his grandfather Jake enjoyed 12 years as an offensive lineman." "He sent tapes to a laundry list of coaches, publicized himself through a recruiting service and even had his grandfather work his connections at Washington, his alma mater. Nobody replied."

He was projected to be #3 WR behind Tavon Austin and Robert Woods. WTF happened with Austin, a first round draft pick?

“I know Cooper was on Stanford’s board until the end of December of his senior year,” Clark said, “and I think if he’d stayed on their board he’d have gotten on Washington’s board.”
The reason he didn’t?
“They didn’t think he could separate (run away from NCAA Division I defensive backs),” Clark said.

That ship sailed a long time ago. Too bad too. Ruining things. But this is where we are.

You brought it into this thread completely unprovoked because you don’t get enough attention on the CE board. Like, get a life. You do this all the time. Insane you aren’t banned.

Wait, you are against under represented people having more. You don't agree with racial engineering? Sounds racist.

Is his son by any chance named after German multinational, Thyssen Krupp?
If Tiffany Amber Thiessen married Thyssen Krupp, divorced him and married Cooper Krupp, would she be a five star recruit?

It's sarcasm guys, get a grip
Sheeeesh
Nah, it wasn't sarcasm at all. What it was was lame trolling.

People don't need to get a grip so much as learn to just ignore trolling posts like that one.

Fun, creative, clever trolling posts, OTOH, are the bees knees and perfectly okay to respond to. 😉

LOL'ed at someone already patching Apple's wikipedia saying he's the son of Annie Apple and Cooper Kupp.
Glad I read ahead and saw you posted about it because I was just about to post the tweet when I read your post it.

There have been some hilarious wiki edits over the years. Renews my faith in the human race.

These goofs aren't smart enough to realize the same policies they are clamoring for are being sarcastically mocked to make a point.

And it works every time outing them for being hypocrites.

BACK TO THE TOPIC…🤦🏻‍♂️

Is it safe to say that Cooper Kupp is the best receiver in football right now? He has been clutch this year (and probably more- but definitely this season).

Clearly. Guy can do it all. Shocked he missed that pass to Stafford. Him and Stafford have something special. His hands are incredible as his route running. And he is quick, fast, and powerful for his size. Incredible receiver.

Jerry Rice supposedly ran a 4.6 40 too, but did anyone ever see him get caught from behind?
40 times can be misleading. Some guys can run 4.3 in shorts and track shoes, but 4.8 in pads and cleats. Other guys have "football speed". They can run their 4.6 either way. Rice was like that, and I suspect Kupp is as well.

Krupp is similar to Antonio Brown when he was in his prime. Undersized, not a great 40, but runs great patterns and makes great cuts.

While so much of speed is natural ability, Jerry Rice was able to get faster over time due to his hard core training regimen.

Can't speak to Rice's situation, but I can verify that it's possible to increase one's sprinting speed.

I was fast in HS and college. But then, after college, I got even faster by doing a running workout that, at the end of the workout, included a lot of running up and down some cement stadium seating at a nearby park.

Not exactly sure what the height of the seating was, but I'd guess somewhere between 22" to 24" or so. Enough so that the gluts and quads would be burning afterward. I built up a lot of explosiveness and sprinting endurance that way.

Be nice to be that young again that my body could tolerate that sort of fun abuse.

Similar. Jerry is a huge proponent of running hills.
