OT: Confusion on some song lyrics

I saw the Applebee's commercial with the viral TikTok dance to Fancy Like. Then I watched the video for Fancy Like. It's a catchy song and I have been in the South and in the Country South long enough to understand the song. I have been on Applebee's date nights in my younger days. The one line I don't get is:

Bougie like Natty in the styrofoam
Squeak-squeakin' in the truck bed all the way home​

I never heard of Natty being Bougie. I always thought of it just like Miller Lite. I would be more towards Michelob (and it would work in the song). What say yee Pack?

I say that song is auditory waterboarding. It should be wrapped in barbed wire and shoved up the urethra of it's creators and everyone who has profited off of it...

But to answer your question, that Natty being bougie is a paradox. But screw that guy, his styrofoam cooler is full of Zima and Bartles & James.

I think it’s tongue in cheek. Applebee’s and Natty is about as fancy as this poor ole country boy can get.

Bougie is slang for Bourgeoisie. Which in Marxist theory is the social class that came to own the means of production during modern industrialization and whose societal concerns are the value of property and the preservation of capital to ensure the perpetuation of their economic supremacy in society. So for the sake of the song it is something that is high class.

I understand the whole tongue in cheek thing, but I never heard anyone from my wife's family think Natty was a fancy beer. They did think going to Applebee's was high class. My wife's family was the only place I could bring Heinekens or New Castle and throw it in the big cooler and not have to worry about any going missing. That was fancy beer.
