Ok, many on this board have seen me lob complaints on the ‘older’ generation. Today is my mea culpa moment where I want to thank all of you ‘boomers’ for not completely butchering children names the way my generation has…

Today I was introduced to my Nephew, ‘Brekken’…. I’m not kidding, my sister named her child ‘Brekken’. What do I even do with this? This is to follow her other children’s names ‘Brinsley and Ryland’….

So to the Baby boomers of this board, I thank you.

I substituted during COVID. Taking attendance was often interesting. Especially when the kids would get offended if their name was mis-pronounced. My enduring gratitude goes out to teachers who added phonetic pronunciations to their rosters.
