I'm taking a weekend trip to Chicago this weekend. Anyone with some suggestions on food/beverage locations? I've never been.

The Weiners Circle for a late night snack. Tell'em Donald sent you. You'll get special treatment.

I think Eataly was mentioned in a thread about NYC, and there’s one in Chicago too.

Here are a few of my favorite (grew up in the area) Chicago hot spots to give you an authentic Chicago experience:
Carson's Ribs (legit BBQ Pork Chops)
Al's Beef
Lou Malnati's Pizza (authentic Chicago style)
Portillo's Hot Dogs and Beef
The Billy Goat Tavern (Burgers) made famous by SNL in the 70s "Cheeseboogy, cheeseboogy, cheeseboogy"
Weber Grill Restaraunt
Chicago Chop House

Malnati's Chicago Classic was really good. Try an Italian Beef sandwich. I got one from some street vendor and it was one of the best things I have eaten.

Revolution Brewing

It's a bit of an Uber ride to get there from downtown, but food is good and the beer is awesome (especially if you like IPA's). Girl and the Goat for dinner if you can get a table.

Skip the hot dogs. I never noticed a step improvement over anywhere else in the country serving a "Chicago dog".
Italian beef is the go-to. I went so many different spots to eat it a few years back. Genos and pats should only be reserved for truly touristy schlock though.

It's been a few years since I've been, but Gibsons Steakhouse on Rush was really good. Someone in our party who I won't incriminate asked for their steak well done and they refused to do it. I respect them for that.

Cindy’s has great views of millennium park. A little pricey but worth it for the view.

Au Cheval has great burgers. Get the single(actually a double) with bacon. Again overpriced, but hey you are in Chicago.

After-dinner drinks at the 95th floor (or whichever) bar in the Hancock building. Expensive drinks. Unbelievable views

I’m gonna second the bar on the 95th/whichever* floor of the Hancock building.

Not a food/drink place but the Willis Tower Sky Deck is a must.

*And really, I’d suggest looking for any rooftop or elevated bar to get a drink. There are some fantastic views in Chicago.

If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan of good scenic views and I’m not afraid of heights.

Hey folks! Thanks for all the suggestions. Tough time of the year to be going up there weather wise I’m sure but I’m looking forward to the snow and 17 degree Saturday this weekend. Thanks again

I'm taking a weekend trip to Chicago this weekend. Anyone with some suggestions on food/beverage locations? I've never been.

If you are a single man you will enjoy Rush Street on a Sat night. Its also one of the best food towns in America.

Wear clothes though, it's the coldest place you've never been. I'm talking frigid *** cold with 20-25 knot winds and subzero temps. A warm day there in Feb will have 20° wind chills. Normal jackets won't hack and will get you a major sore throat. Take it from someone who was once there during a Feb and didn't listen.

Au Cheval is incredible, best burger you’ll ever eat. There will be a long wait, so go sign in and plan to do something else for an hour until your table is ready. The Rosebud for Italian is great. For entertainment, we also enjoy doing Second City. It’s a comedy show, basically SNL’s Minor league team. It’s where just about everyone on SNL was 1st before being called up.
