I'm looking to take a few different cabs to a party tomorrow and was wondering what some of you in the know are drinking this year.

Would like to stay around $25/bottle

Beringer Knights Valley Cab.... good old standby

I’ll second this. It’s quite good, and for about $17, as I recall.

Justin Cab from Paso Robles is probably the best wine you can buy in the $20 range. It’s very good. Keep in mind, wines are priced not based upon their quality, but based upon how much money they need to charge to make a suitable profit based upon their costs. In other words, more expensive doesn’t mean better. Justin is a great quality wine that you can find in any reputable wine store.

Kendall Jackson Cabernet Sauvignon is about $25 and is a great wine.

I like Joseph Carr's wines. Also anything made by Joel Gott is a terrific value. His Three Thieves Cabernet is a terrific value at $10/bottle.

The Gott family also owns Taylor’s Refresher/Gotts Roadside in St Helena, which is one of the best hamburger joints in the country. Hard to go wrong with a good cab value and a great burger

Chateau St. Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet

Yep - it’s in Woodinville which is the next town over from where we live. There are some really nice Washington wines.

I tried the Austin Hope Paso Robles for Christmas dinner on a recommendation. It was great. A little above the OP price point but I’m gonna try some more Paso Robles for sure. Thx.
