I’ve had bunions for a while (I think being pigeon-toed makes me worse) for a while now but this one on my right foot has been hurting all the time now and it really sucks.

I ordered a bunion splint on amazon, anyone ever used and or had success with one or is there anything else besides a splint that could help? Definitely don’t want surgery right now.

Buddy of mine just had surgery on one foot and has scheduled the other one late August. He tried every gimmick he could find and nothing worked for him. He did say that he wished he hadn’t waited so long for the surgery, the longer you wait, the worse the toe gets and the worse the recovery is.

Had bunion surgery on each foot back in early '90's when I was in my early forties. Certainly glad I had them both done (though not at the same time), but I gotta say it's one of the most painful surgery procedures there is.

Good luck!!

I had no idea what a bunion was (almost 60 yrs old and didn't know) so I Googled it. Yall need to get that crap fixed right away cause I don't want to see you when you put flip flops on. Maybe yours aren't as bad as the ones on Google but some of those are just down right nasty.

The surgery it self was painful or the recovery?

My buddy had a big straight pin about 4 inches long sticking out of the end of his toe for about a month. It had a big plastic ball on the head, it looked like one of the pins you put flowers on your prom date back in high school only about twice the size. He could grab it and spin it in his toe, made my sphincter tighten every time he did it.

Update: this splint has actually decreased the pain significantly over the course of 3 days. My bunions aren’t near the severity as you see on google images tho.
