Bubba handled this as poorly as he possibly could, and he still is, and when I tune into Nascar going forward I will be rooting for him to wreck.

Most people knew the initial story didn't smell right, but that didn't keep Bubba for milking for all he could, and he still is, rather than just admit he jumped the gun.... and it seems to me he should be glad it isn't what it appeared to be initially, but he sure doesn't act like it.

How did he jump the gun? A rep came and told him they found a noose hanging from his garage. That is a pretty big deal.

I get your point after the fact. He hasn't handled it the best, but not sure he acted over the top to start with.

Either troll, or very dumb

yeah, you got me.

You are no better than those woke people you despise. Claiming the everything is racist is no worse than acting like every incident is race baiting.

As much as you hate to admit it, racism does exist.

They way he is acting after, is not relief, but disappointment. Bubba, as well as nascar, and the whole woke nation wanted this to be a bold display of draconian racism that doesn't manifest itself enough in the real world to show tangible examples.

We were discussing this incident. You stretch that into every incident. THIS incident is clear race baiting.

And in this incident you are claiming NASCAR and Bubba are race baiting and blaming them. How can you possibly know that either are race baiting?

First of all, NASCAR is pretty much screwed. If they do nothing or say nothing while it is being investigated that get hammered. There is not really a winning scenario for them.

I am all in agreement that "the woke" are the problem. But the "anti woke" are just as big of a problem. People in this very thread were calling him Bubba Smollett. They are nowhere near the same.

So in this incident, help me understand why NASCAR and Bubba are race baiting?

If bubba knows who reported this they need to be fired. That’s just ridiculous. And if bubba really wants attention, start winning race’s get your attention the right way!!!
I was listening to the NASCAR channel yesterday while doing mechanic work. The narrative all day long was the same. How great NASCAR was for doing what they did, pro bubba Wallace as a game changer in the world of NASCAR like Jackie Robinson to baseball.... Tiger to golf.....and William's sisters to tennis. All the while long I felt something doesn't seem right here. There's gotta be surveillance video, this person should have been busted easily and quickly.
The more hours that went by the more skeptical I was getting. I was afraid it might end up being a set up. I guess it turned out about as good as it could. Bubba needs to move on and focus on the next race and build on the decent finish that he had.

From what I heard, bubba didn't know anything about it because drivers were not allowed into garage area ala covid protocol.

NASCAR overreacted but under the circumstances I understand why they did. Like a pendulum.

Look at the political climate you are in man. I'll cut it off with you here, as you are purely emotive and dont seem to think straight. You must investigate controversial "incidents" before you raise the alarms, otherwise **** like this happens. Race baiting is very prevalent during election years. I am on the side of logical thinking here. You attempt to drag other points in to cloud the water. This whole story is race baiting ******** that backfired and they are refusing to use any damage control because some people are so dumb, they still believe this is a malicious racist attack that is par for the course in our terrible, systemically racist country. Give me a break. No examples to point to, so we create them.

You got me all wrong. I completely agree everyone should stand down and not jump to conclusions. I stated that multiple times. I just think there is a line between overreacting and race baiting. In this case it appears they over reacted.

If you are on the side of logical thinking you wouldn't be jumping to call NASCAR and Bubba race baiters. They very well may be, but neither you nor I have nearly enough evidence to make that conclusion. You instead made an emotional decision based on limited information.

Your last thought speaks volumes and proves exactly what I was talking about. You honestly believe there is no examples of systemic racism to point to? That is an alarming statement and not a very logical one. But I am sure I am just race baiting, right?

Examples of systemic racism are? Also, I was basing my opinion off of multiple factors, including the statement from the FBI.

I don't even want to enter into the conversation of systemic racism if you don't think it exists.

As to the FBI statements, are you referring to the one where they described the rope as a "noose"? I don't really recall any FBI statements that would lead to evidence that NASCAR or Bubba were race baiting.

Coronavirus lockdown fatigue has an underappreciated role in all this overreaction in an already overly reactive society. Things will go back to homeostasis once the virus goes away

1 example man. Dont side step it. Individual racists are not the same as systemic racism. What policy in this country is racist?

1 FBI statement man, don't side step it. If it was so easy to determine they were race baiting it should be easy.

And to help ya with your readin skills, I said I didn't really want to engage in that topic since your mind is pretty obviously made up.

How about the statement that it wasn't a hate crime, or that it was not an action targeting Wallace. You not answering my question is because you don't have an answer.

Literally, I said I didn't want to engage in that conversation because it was obviously futile to change your thoughts. Tell me which part of that you don't understand?

If it helps you sleep at night, you win. I give. I won't change your mind, so you win.

Mental midget. I agree, futile to try and change minds on a forum. Systemic racism is a lie.

Seriously man, grow up a bit and let go of your arrogance. You have no idea who I am or what I am about. But if you want to pump your ego by calling me a mental midget, more power to you.
