Noose story was false! Was a rope for the garage, been there for over a year, most garages had same pull rope!

Some people have suggested that Bubba needs to apologize for making this accusation. That is just stupid. NASCAR is the one who needs to apologize, and a lot better than the half *** one they already put out. For starters, what kind of idiots would not think the optics of miniature nooses from the garage doors is not anything but horrible? Multiple garages had the same thing and have had them for at least the last year. Another pic I saw was the garage next to his had a rope that had obviously been untied, with Bubba's garage having a rope that had been cut much shorter. So somebody cut the noose off Bubba's for evidence I guess, and somebody else untied the exact same noose on the garage next to it. I am curious if there is more to the story. Bubba don't need to apologize though.

Why didn't NASCAR or someone from the Petty team just look at it and say, oh that's a pull rope for the garage door? This is the type of **** that creates unnecessary ammunition to an already volatile situation. Simply no need. I don't blame Wallace, simply because he isn't allowed in the garage, but FFS, someone needs to be the adult.

This just goes to show when you are looking to create a race issue you can find a race issue in anything and everything.

Exactly and despicable to try and trigger crap. Bubba Smollet
Where do you get that it was staged? I agree that this is unfortunate, but should we be blaming Wallace for this? Seems pretty low...

Admittedly, I haven’t read any news, just listening to the news, so maybe I am missing something...

I wouldn't be surprised to hear it was someone from his team that cut the rope and planted it to make it look horrible.

But blaming Wallace is not right, he can't even go back to the garage.

too early to be casting blame. let the evidence come in before any decision on this.

Just shows what a powder keg the current atmosphere is when people automatically jump to the worst conclusion.

Him not answering his cell phone is NOT a good sign. I really hate to say this but it has all the makings of a drug deal gone bad. Pray to God that is wrong.

you mean like if a young adult who is black goes missing someone will assume it has all the makings of a drug deal gone bad?

it's ok though, because they will preface it by saying "they hate to say it" and qualify it on the back end by saying that they pray they are wrong

Why? Because this is free publicity for them. Better to overreact and ask for forgiveness later

not sure what i mean, but seems like the garage right next to it had one hooked up just like the controversial one. wtf RollingLaugh

I was being a bit of sarcastic, about letting the evidence come out before making a decision. You can only jump to conclusions if you are on one side of the equation.

So a person can jump to conclusion about there being a noose in a NASCAR garage, well because they just last week banned the Confederate flag, but you can't jump to conclusions about the where abouts of a troubled 20 year old, with a history of using drugs. Interesting.

Also not sure why you had to bring race into it. The common denominator in his logic was drugs, not race. You brought race into the discussion.

how about we don't jump to conclusions at all ... where in any of this did I indicate that it is ok for a person to jump to the conclusion about there being a noose in a NASCAR garage, because they just last week banned the Confederate flag?

I just didn't see anything where you wrote about everyone being wrong about this. I only saw where you wrote that he jumped to conclusions about Washington, but instead it being about drugs, you jumped to the conclusion that is was about race, by inserting black man, in there.

See you can't have it both ways, you (impersonal you) can't be pissed when the Karens of the world call the police and say I am being yelled at by a black man, and then come out and say, "you mean like if a young adult who is black goes missing someone will assume it has all the makings of a drug deal gone bad?" The poster you replied to didn't indicate it had anything to do with race, he assumed because of the history of drug use.

There wasn't a noose in the garage, it was a pull handle. The conclusion jumping was done because NASCAR has a history with the south and the confederate flag, and being slow to cut ties with it. That is why it was "ok" for the media to jump to that conclusion. You see now? It was rational to jump to that conclusion, for some. But, in your mind, it wasn't ok for him to jump to a conclusion that a man with a history of using drugs, may have been involved in a drug deal gone wrong. But you appeared to be more offended because of the race of the individual, not his drug history.

A little off track but if the south is so racist why do the top football players stay in the south. Look anyone that can make the nascar as a driver is pretty dam talented. I just wish people would stop doing stupid **** to draw attention to a certain cause. But it doesn’t look like it will end anytime soon.

totally disagree the noose had nothing to do with race.. In this climate everything is about race and I am totally tired of it..

You're the one bringing race into it. I detest trying to make everything in the world some political statement about race.

So, on the ignore list you go and I hope you ignore me as well.

Crap, I was watching clips on YouTube last night and part of me wondered if this was a hoax. The commentator made the point that access to the garages is pretty tight with video surveillance and such. Organizations are so afraid of a backlash that they would rather rush to a false judgment than do a proper investigation

Bubba did go on The View and say that anyone who questioned this story was simple minded. He may have not started this hoax, but he ran with it without knowing the story himself.

“It’s simple-minded people like that, the ones that are afraid of change, they use everything in their power to defend what they stand up for... instead of trying to listen and understand what’s going on.”

No Bubba, it’s people that have been fooled by the Jussie Smollet and the fake noose in the tree in Oakland stories that make us skeptical.

In an interview Tuesday night with CNN after the FBI said there was not a hate crime, Wallace said what he saw in his garage “was a straight-up noose.”

But I thought Wallace said that didn’t see the noose?

Wallace said it’s better that he didn’t see the noose – he was informed of its discovery by NASCAR officials. “I don’t know how I would have reacted,” he said.

I think Wallace is referring to the pictures he saw of the then cutoff rope handle.

There was a noose that's not up for debate. Fbi confirmed that. What's also not up for debate is that this was a hate crime. It wasn't. Nascar had the correct response FBI also confirmed that.

Please post a clear picture of this noose. I have seen a running knot aka slip knot, look like a noose, especially if you cut just the above the knot.

Isn't it possible that there was confusion as to what type of knot was used to keep the rope pull attached to the garage door? Are we that far gone that there is now just one explanation for the shape of a knot that was cut off of a garage door?
