Going to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens tomorrow. Any suggestions for a nice restaurant near there for lunch or dinner?

I live around the corner and can see it from my window. Plenty of good places to eat around here. I would suggest narrowing your search to Washington and Vanderbilt avenues between Eastern parkway and Atlantic ave

I grew up directly across the street from BBG, and Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway. Actually had a vegetable garden every spring. Can vividly remember being dragged by my mother to see the Van Gogh exhibit, wanted to go ride my bike with my friends.

With the name Flatbush Finest, I would suggest the OP listen to you. How long have you lived there?

My whole life (38 years) outside of my years at Rutgers. E-Hall was my zone school, didn’t go there though, went to Grady with Douby.

I haven't been to the botanical Gardens in 30+ years but I still remember their impressive collection of Japanese Bonsai trees. I was recently visiting in Brooklyn and had the opportunity to have dinner at Locanda Vini & Olii at 129 Gates Ave. Just a short Uber ride from the Gardens. I would highly recommend the food and the neighborhood had a great ambiance.

And the little sapling that you peed on when nobody was looking, is now the tallest tree in the place! 🤣
No way! Everyone knows trees don't grow in Brooklyn.

(Apologies to Betty Smith)

Coaching travel softball several years ago a team from Brooklyn came to a tournament in Union.
They cheered "You gots to be from Brooklyn or you gots to go!

I've been riding in the 5 Boro Bike Tour for 30 years and our group has been doing our own ride every day before. To watch the changes to all of Brooklyn over the years is incredible. Especially near you and Williamsburg areas.
