While channel surfing last night I came across the reality tv showing Breaking Greenville. Who thought this was a good idea? It was awful. They're going to have to step up their game if they want to be the next Lizard Lick Towing**

From the producer of The Office, truTV's Breaking Greenville takes viewers behind the cameras of two real-life rival TV news stations in one of the smallest TV markets in America: Greenville, Miss. The character-driven, comedic docu-soap spotlights the playful — and at times cut-throat — rivalry between two local news stations and the dynamic newscasters who are determined to take their jobs seriously, even when some of the news they cover is less than serious. No, the happenings in the Mississippi Delta may not be headline news, but news can and in fact does happen there. Whether it's a cat stuck in a tree, or a low-pressure storm system, this group of competing news frenemies learns fast that making something out of nothing is challenging, rewarding and often downright hilarious.

I watched it last night because my aunt texted me and told me to check it out. After 5 minutes it was embarrassed for wabg and wxvt. I texted my aunt and told her it was terrible 5 minutes in and she said to give it a chance. Bad advice. I'll never get those 30 minutes back.

I'm guessing its like a combination of WKRP in Cincinnati and UHF, only not funny and real. Am I right?

I caught it last night. 1st I can't believe Greeneville has one TV station much more 2! I'm from wcbi/wtva area. I don't know much about the delta.

But I thought it was interesting. My only thought was..... Wow! Poor girl and weather guy must really want a TV job to move from Connecticut and the Midwest to Greeneville.

Kudos to Greeneville.!!!

I didn't watch the show but read a little bit about it. The Lucy girl is pretty cute.

I watched it and I'm not sure what it was about. The on air talent looks like the Delta version of Live With Kelly Rippa & Michael Strahan.

Turrible. The black lady refers to herself as the Oprah of the South.... how is that possible if Oprah is from the South?

Used to be a nice town. It's mostly Ghetto now and will most definitely be worse when 82 bypass is finished. Crime rate is higher than some big cities. Glad I don't live in that area any more.

Cleveland is the Jewel of the delta, Greenwood is more like the aluminum of the delta.

Ok I watched it. Thought it was funny. Kind of gives you a "behind the scenes" look at how broadcast journalism works. And I knew this from my brother-in-law when he worked in production at WJTV back in the day: a huge majority of males on camera, especially the weather guys, are gay in most news stations. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just an interesting observation.
