Ed Reed turned the spotlight on how bad things were at BCU and what he was willing to do to change things there. Guess they don’t like change.

Bethune is a troubled college in recent years.
They almost lost their accreditation in 2018-19
Their finances have been a mess and college admins are regarded as sketchy - their salaries went up as college finances were going down. A new dorm project was plagued with false signatures and large cost overruns
The college seems like it wanted Reed as a band-aid but then Reed started seeing the mess and talking.
Sanders told Reed to get away from there.

"The university was placed on probation by its regional accreditor, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, in the summer of 2018. The accreditor cited failings in multiple areas, including integrity, governing board characteristics, financial resources, financial responsibility, and control of finances. The accreditation action followed significant financial losses by the university - $28 million over the previous two years - and multiple lawsuits, including one filed by the university against a former president alleging fraud and bribery related to a $306 million construction deal." I think Reed thinks the same way Sanders does and wants to cultivate the whole culture and not just be in the coach box. Looking at what Sanders does I can see where Bethune would get queasy. They have skeletons.

I saw two videos of Sanders addressing players and then support staff .

On young player development he's 180 degrees from Schiano
He told them he's in his 50s and doesn't have time to hold their hands and let them develop
He wants them to play up to potential as best they can now
Schiano hovers over young players like they are suspects

The support staff got a lot of praise and encouragement - then Sanders laid down the law.
No players lounging around in training rooms every day.
No trash ANYWHERE
Spiritual support along with psychological.
Diversity counseling is fine but he wants all people to feel welcome and part of the fam.
He heard some Colorado players messed-up a hotel last year and he said he will be reaching-out to fix that.
There won't be any sketchy business
He wants student tutors to help players so that students feel identified with the team and the team with the players.
He wants excellence everywhere and wont settle
He wont yell and scream - just be good or be gone to make room for someone else.
I think there's no doubt Colorado will be on the rise

Meanwhile the NJ media is not allowed access to practice or whatever.

But Deion is going to hold the players accountable and if you screw up, you’re out. IMO, Ed Reed was going to be the same way at BCU until they wanted nothing to do with this and backed out of his deal.
