If you're not ready a member of Sam's Club or Costco, now may be the time. The savings on the TV alone would pay for the annual membership fee.

I have a Vizio 43" that was $80 cheaper at Sam's than Walmart.

@Corpcopy1 when did you buy the 55 at that price? I'm looking at it too and would love to pay the $498 rather than the $598 listed online.

Also for other people in the market for a 65, Best Buy has the 65 inch LG 4K tv on sale until Saturday for $899. $400 off normal price

Spend a little more money and get one with hdr. Hdr is the next big thing with tvs.

55 inch samsung ks8000 would be my pick for both qualityou and price. These were 999 at best buy last I looked.

I didn't read the whole thread so someone may have posted already. However, rtings.com is where it's at. Talks about best budget TVs and compares all TVs by what you want to do with them.

Does anyone have any knowledge on TV's larger than the 65 inch models? Are there certain brands to choose when you go above that 65 inch size that have better pictures and are more reliable long term?

I got it last Wednesday I believe. Tag by the demo said $598, but it rang up $498. I should have bought all they had at that price.

Anybody got a link to a website that explains all these acronyms? I don't know what most of these letters mean.

I know this won't be a popular answer, but it's a steal. Add the 4 year protection plan and it's only $640. Ultra HD, 4K Smart TV. This was their Black Friday deal and it's the same TV as the 6300 they have for $1200. My father in law got lucky bc he was about to get the 6300, but they were out and happened to have a few of these leftover from the holidays in the warehouse. I don't usually recommend protection plans, but since it's refurbished it's probably a good idea. If it breaks for any reason they fix it, replace it or give you a full refund.

Went to Walmart (hell on earth) today and they have three Samsung 4k 55 in 6290 models on clearance at $499. Really perfect for me. Best buy has the same TV for 799. Cheapest I found online was 749 that wasn't refurbished. Crazy good deal. Thanks for the tip. My shopping is done. West Zone comes thru as I knew it would.

Glad to help. I knew when they were $300 less than Best Buy it was probably a good deal. Looking at the floor models they had running, it had the best picture out of almost all of them.

Link to said TV please?
Don't know that it was advertised. I went into the store and ran across it. Then went on line and checked prices and saw that everyone else was $300+ higher, so I bought it. We got ours at the Walmart in Anderson. The Seneca and Central stores were sold out.
