OT: Best online background check

Looking for advice on the best online background check. I don't care if it's free or not.

I just found out the hard way that all background checks were not created equal. I recently found out an employee of mine was a convicted felon but it didn't show up on his background check b/c the crimes happened 8 years ago and the service I used only went back 7 years. Depending on your situation I'd recommend paying for one or have your attorney look into the person.
