Anyone have any good IPA's they'd recommend? I really enjoy Hazy's.

Big fan of Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing. I like to try different ones and see what you guys are drinking. Living here in the upstate of SC I think Total Wine (woodruff rd) seems to have the best selection that ive seen.

Recently tried Horus Osprey's Fresh Catch Season 6 and thought it was awesome! Also, had Knee deeps 'Breaking Bud' and its legit as well. Edmunds Oast is another favorite!

What are some good IPA's to try? Hazy or not....

I enjoy a good beer convo!

Where to begin?
There are so many to choose from and they all are different (but the same).

Key is to find out what hops you like the most. Im a citra guy so anything hopped on citra is going to be great imo.

If I were you, I'd go to 8th state brewery and try what they have on tap. Best beer being made in greenville right now.

Sweet water made a G13 IPA that’s marketed as CBD or something. Black label. I’m no smoker but it’s delicious...
I agree! That one is a go to at my house as well. (Forgot to mention this one)

However, last year the made a Mosaic IPA and I thought it was the best! Cant seem to find it anymore...

I will certainly try that! Sounds like I need to determine what hops I like though.... I find hazy IPA's to be my favorite along with Mosaic and NE IPA's.

If you like hops, Knee deep brewing has a triple IPA that taste like you just had a mouthful of hops

I am too cheap to drink those things lol. Busch Light is what I buy(yeah I know.Poor lol) but these threads always intrigue me. Amazing at how the beer market has taken off in the past decade or so. Yes I have tried a few of those beers and I just cannot make myself like them. I will say the marketing that goes into those brews is pretty cool though.

Hazy lil thing is hard to beat. Honestly have yet to try a hazy ipa I did not like but sierras is definitely the best in my book.

IPAs - Anything from Breakside (Portland). Anything from Maine Beer Co. IMO, Columbia Craft is the best brewery in the state (SC) but have limited distribution.

Hazy's - Tree House Brewing (Charlton, MA) is fantastic but does not distribute at all. Creature Comforts in Athens is great as well.

Decadent Ales Brewing puts out some crazy DIPA flavors. Strawberry Frosted Pastry IPA, toasted Marshmellow IPA, etc. Most of them are tasty, but some Vermont Maple IPA are weird and little nasty.

Burial's Surf Wax out of Asheville is one of the better ones imo.

Right now my favorite is Southern Range's Hopsequences. Theyre out of Monroe NC.

both of these are distributed in the Charlotte area so depending on where you are they might not be available

Charlestowne Fermentory is making some of the best NEIPAs in our region right now...Pallet Rider and a couple others.

Fireforge in downtown Greenville has a good one on tap...John Hopcock, I think it’s called.

Edmonds Oast’s Thunder Sheep.

No, but it sounds like I need to be. How does that work?
Its an app that you log your beer into as you try new things. Allows for ratings, where you had it, etc. I supposed its facebook for craft beer but its just beer. Also will tell you where to find beers local to you. Highly suggested if you're into craft beer.

I just posted. The sungazer is great. I totally agree that they know what they are doing over there

I love all of Sweetwater's IPA's. I frequently buy the variety pack at Bilo, but 'going coastal' is my go to right now.

A popular one that is no secret is the Westbrook one claw Pale Ale. It is not an IPA but it covers the hazy IPA bases as far as I am concerned

Adam Goodwin is the head brewer at CF. Used to work with Trillium/Tired Hands. Not sure if you've had any of their stuff but its very similar. Trillium is top notch and up there as far as being known for NE ipas.

Have you tried the Sungazer at Charlestown Fermentory? My guess is you would like it.

No but I will. I only love 5min from there. I went to the fermentory a few times and was never very impressed. I’ll have to give it another shot. Frothy beard has some of the best beers @ imo.

As mentioned, Tropicalia from Creature Comforts is fantastic, but you have to go to either Athens or some distribution in ATL. (Once they finish their expansion I imagine SC will soon get some) It's a really nice Citra/Galaxy IPA, fermented with an english strain (i think wyeast 1968 from what I recall, pretty standard house yeast for a lot of places).
While I love Westbrook, none of their NE Style IPAs have been very enjoyable to me.
Edmund's Oast was the best NE Style IPA i've had from an SC brewery (but I haven't been to many of the newer ones)

I'm in Western NY so I'm not sure what distro you're getting down there. Generally any GRIMM IPA cans are solid. Fat Orange Cat is ok, nothing special but decent enough. I'm not a huge fan of Captain Lawrence's IPAs but many of my friends love their lupulin series of NE IPAs that they've been coming out with.

If you make a roadtrip/vacation to NJ/NY/Vermont/CT/Mass, the options might literally be endless
