Saw the story in Long Branch. NJ is getting dangerous. At least now I know why I see cops riding their ATV up and down the beach in Lavallette.

What happened? We were there yesterday. A peaceful day at Pier Village. Candy apples and the carousel. (No White Claws)

I was joking about the dangerous part. Someone organized a party on the beach via Tiktok. Big crowd showed up and some people are just too stupid to have a good time.

I know Asbury has made insane progress thanks to in large part to lots of gays with much disposable income - (you’re welcome) AC, however, should be fenced off and allowed to be reclaimed by Mother Nature.
AC is even worse than Camden when you consider how much is has/had going for it - beaches, transportation options, and freaking the only gambling on the east coast for decades. And they still screwed it up. Only in NJ.

I wouldn't raise my family there, but a beach day with dinner then the Asbury Hotel or Watermark for a sunset cocktail yes, yes indeed.

Asbury is a great town. Some of you really make me laugh.

Well, I generally agree with your first sentence but would not have 15 years ago. It is a fact that Asbury Park suffers from stubbornly high crime rates, as do other high profile towns in NJ. Take, for example, Princeton. Much higher crime rate than the state average. Of course, like Asbury Park, that crime is confined to certain areas, and the parts of Princeton relatively immune from said crime are wonderful., Junt like Asbury Park. At least in the case of Asbury Park, the at risk area seems to be shrinking while the more pleasant, vibrant areas continue to grow amid the town‘s welcomed renaissance. You’d no sooner avoid Princeton as you would Asbury Park based on a review of crime statistics in context, unless there were other factors considered by naysayers.

With all due respect, are you crazy? Good grief:

AP - 11.52 violent crimes per 1,000 residents
Princeton - 0.51 violent crimes for 1,000 residents
as per FBI crime data

Can we please keep this a serious discussion? Thanks!

Outside of a specific area of each town, crime Is not a significant concern. That’s a fact, and you’re statistics do nothing to dispute that fact. For some reason, you’re not willing to consider or embrace a town like Asbury Park. Might be irrational fear, which seems less likely given your willingness to visit other towns with high crime districts. Or might the reason have something to do with what was described in certain deleted posts (maybe you asked your friend the moderator to delete them?) from earlier today? That’s how I’d bet.

AP is 1.61 sq miles. Blink and you will drive by. That crime rate is ridiculous and engulfs most of the town. Next time, don't be so silly to compare towns where one has a violent crime rate 23 times more than the other. LOL!

More deflections In the same manner. You don’t like Asbury Park. Yet you seem ok with other cities with well above average crime stats relative to the state of NJ. Why don’t you tell everyone why that is?

What cities do I like with a crime rate similar to AP? Hmm.....

As I have said on numerous occasions, AP is a dump due to:
1. High crime rate
2. Awful public schools
3. Worse place in NJ to raise a family

Repeating nonsense doesn’t make it true. And your nonsense is that you’re ok with certain towns with crime rates well above e the state average, just not others. I highly doubt you consider quality of local public schools when choosing a town to visit for a weekend or meal.

And I told you to ask the moderator who deleted them. Let me know what part of that sentence you don’t understand.
The part I don’t understand is why you won’t tell me what they said. I wasn’t around for this exchange but apparently you were. So that why I’m asking you.

Why is that so hard to grasp?

So you don't have an answer. Great, thanks for clearing that up! LOL.

can’t help you. Don’t save posts on this board, and didn’t delete them. That’s the moderator‘s business. You want to know what was deleted? Ask him.

But you’re the one who knows what was said, I don’t. LOL

Why won’t you say it?
