I was just talking with someone from Toms River who told me that they now have Beer Beaches at the shore. I know they officially banned alcohol from the beach last year right before Covid, but is this just another money grab from the local shore towns? Anyone have some insight?

I saw a group of girls shotgunning Claws on the beach in Belmar last Saturday. The one dummy told her friend that you are allowed to drink on the beach now in Belmar because of COVID. She said to trust her, it's a new law.

They shotgunned a few each and then yeah......that's not a new law. They all got tickets. Haha, I sat there a few feet away with my aluminum bottle having my beverage without a worry in the world watching.

I would make alcoholic drinks and put it in a product bottle that winds up a similar color
Vodka/lemonade in a lemonade bottle, rum and coke in a coke bottle, etc
Never a problem as long as you don't get sloppy

If you have ever been to Gunnison, many on that beach are in @beaced 's age range. Or at least they look that way.
All the other sections were filled and we ended up there a few yrs back. I thought it was senior discount day. ( I prefer the 75+ in clothes)
Drinking should be mandatory on that beach or blindfolds handed out at entry.

I thought maybe they knew something I didn’t. Hadn’t been there in a couple years.
Didn’t know it was my job too to be the common sense police.
You just said the one girl was a dummy before the ticket. Then they got the ticket and then you laughed . All your words
You are correct, it’s not your job to tell them anything . But you proved to be an *** . As you cowered in your concealed cup . These girls were probably just kids . Well; done sir . Rutgers nation needs more like you ! So does the belmar revenue !

Kids shouldn't be drinking out in the open on the beach or stupid enough to think it's legal.

Enough. Go soak some watermelon in Tequila and hand it out to minors at the beach. Save them some tickets!
True . But that doesn’t help mullet from being an idiot like you said . The watermelon in Tequila sounds good though

You okay? That's not what I said.
This is what you said : “Kids shouldn't be drinking out in the open on the beach or stupid enough to think it's legal.”

mullet had posted previously that he thought it may be legal and that’s why he didn’t step in to say something .

I didn't see him write that.
I was speaking about the Belmar gals and their White Claws.

Didn’t know it was my job too to be the common sense police. This is New Jersey after all. Why didn’t I warn them? I’m not their dad.
You liked this @Jm0513 .
Mullet is saying he may have thought it was legal and they “knew something I didn’t” . That’s why he let let them keep going and get ticketed. What a great guy !!!

Ok,board police. I read the original post 4 times not seeing what you meant.
Plum, at your next BOE meeting please present this to the senior class..

Or...

Maybe you need an explanation . Guy saw some younger girls drinking on beach . He either knew it was illegal and didn’t help them out or thought it was legal and was as you say stupid (which you say anyone thinking that it is legal would be ) .

Why should anyone help them out??
Because it’s a decent thing to do . If you saw a 20 year old drinking in the blue lot, you might warn them before the MCSD comes and messes up their life. You seem like a decent dude and might try to help someone out. But even if you didn’t help them out, I am confident you wouldn’t be on a message board chatting it up how the kid got a ticket as you watched .

Yikes man. Think you need to chill. Really not that big a big deal. Think you need to sit this one out. Not like anyone went to jail. Newsflash. People doing them don’t want some stranger up in their business especially at the beach.

Messes up their life ?!!

Damn I once got an open container ticket in NYC. Absolutely ruined my whole life. Now I want to see others endure the same I guess.

If you’re underage and ticketed for drinking , it’s not as simple as an open container summons if you’re 21 or older .
