OT: Beards

Feel fortunate i can get away with shaving every 3 days with minimal growth. Flip side of that is no chance of growing a beard that looks even halfway decent.

Now now let’s not compare a 3-10 day “manly” look with a weak hipster’s “man bun.”

I would use my daughter's dads razor on my legs. He would scream at me. Anyway, afterwards my legs were really smooth, but looked like a junior high school boys face. Bloody pieces of toilet paper everywhere! Haha

I never seem to cut myself when shaving my ummmm, legs.

I think he's got the grey on purpose. Some women are into the grey. I have been told by women my age that they think he's very good looking. Plus Sofia Vergara is one of the hottest women in Hollywood IMO, she could have any dude she wanted.

I have had a beard for years now. It's easier, it looks good, and once you have it for a while it doesn't itch. For a millennial man if you don't have a beard I assume you can't grow it or your job bans it, which in 2020 I think is limited to people who need to cover their face for work.

I don't think I would do the ZZ top type beard, maybe it'd look good but I'd be paranoid about food getting stuck in it.

Or... you could go for the "Coach Franklin" look? A really big "thumb," if you know what I mean.

Man's best friend might have a thing or two to teach us about cleanliness: The beards covering men's faces hide "significantly higher" amounts of bacteria than found on dogs, a recent study suggests.

The research, published in February in the peer-reviewed journal European Radiology, compared bacteria samples from 18 hairy men with those from 30 dogs, including border collies, dachshunds and German shepherds.

The conclusion? "On the basis of these findings, dogs can be considered as 'clean' compared with bearded men," the Switzerland-based researchers noted.

The idea of dragging sharpened steel across my face every morning for aesthetics lost favor with me as soon as I stopped practicing law about 20 years ago. Beard and mustache ever since. Somehow the alleged additional bacteria has not done me or the missus any harm.

I think there are different ways a bald head can wind up looking, I'm stocky so it's more on the thumb side of things. At least until you meet me, then maybe it's more of a dickhead look....

I grew a beard a few times in my life just to change it up a little bit, but probably not since the very early 2000s - like 2001. Now that they are/were recently stylish, I avoid them so as not to look like the Gorton's fisherman. It's completely white except for a few flecks over my lip. I already look older than my age without enhancing the effect.
