I always get sucked into watching for multiple days. I love seeing all these old cars. It's a bucket list item of mine to take my dad to one. The price tags are a bit too rich for my bank account but I can dream right? The Bandit promo car sold for 500k last night. Burt rode in with it wearing the hat and all.

The 55,56,57 Vettes all serial number 1 is what I loved. Wish I had Rick Hendriks money.

I want an old Vette too. I will likely get a late 60's Stingray convertible. Been on the radar for a while now.

Some free advice. During the change-over from the mid-years (a/k/a the "C2s", model year 63-67) to the C3s, the early production build C3s (1968 model year) are notorious for body issues. They didn't switch over to the C3 frame rails until about July of 68. If you're going to get an early C3 (68 or 69), I strongly recommend you stick with a 69 model year. That way you avoid any frame issues completely. If you find a 68 that you just have to have, make sure you get with someone who can look at the production codes for you and make sure you're getting a late year production that is on the C3 frame.

If you're serious, a friend of mine has a 69 vette vert. PM and I'll give you his contact. He's a bulldog but he doesn't post here.

I'm still a little ways out. Son just turned 16 so that dipped into my funds. I appreciate it though.

I am likely a year to year and a half out before it becomes serious.

What color Is it? Haha

I have a 67 Camaro. Owned it for 30 years. Vin number ends with 3300 which means it was the 3300rd Camaro built. My wife says it's the other wife.

My dream car is a 57 Bel Air convertible but they are out of my price range. I'll have to stick to less exstravegent stuff. I have restored three tractors and one Jeep CJ and have refurbished several more old jeeps and a Harley Servicar. There is a huge difference between a restoration and a refurbishment. I sunk a lot of money in a 78 CJ5 to return it to showroom condition. I currently have a 64 CJ5 that is mostly original and have considered a restoration but it's pretty cool like it is. The Servicar hasn't been cranked in over a year, it may find a new home this spring.

Had the opportunity to attend yesterday. It is quite the show. Lots of cars that you will see at the shows around here. Enjoyed the one of a kind and rare models that you don't see often. I would highly recommend and leave yourself plenty of time to be there. The cars are the highlight, but the people watching is quite good as well.View attachment 3014

Sunday night, a '63 red corvette convertible sold for $37k. I was surprised it didn't go for much more $. Would love to go to this auction and bid on some muscle cars. I saw a Mercedes 190SL in their salon cars, but can't find what it sold for. Most list for $200k 😢.
