I have handled and shot one, amazing gun but do not own one. In my opinion is is more of a western states gun due to the light weight where you are packing in or walking long distances. The gun is much more accurate than the shooter in my hands, great trigger. It almost feels like you are toting a 22 but it does kick more than you would expect due to its feather weight. I'm a firm believer in quality when it comes to guns, if you can afford it you wont be disappointed. Word of advice, don't spend that kind of money on a gun and skimp on glass. You would be cheating yourself and the gun. I used to moonlight part time in a Gun store and many a time I would sell a guy a $1000 - $1500 gun and he would put a $49 Simmons or Tasco on top of it!

I used to shoot 1000 yards, not for competition, just for fun. Grand shooters are a different breed and will spend mega bucks just to constrict their groups fractions of an inch. I used to love to show up at a range with a $250 H&R Handi Rifle with a Swarovski sitting on top of it and shoot shot for shot with guys shooting $5000 rifles. A good scope and a good trigger is the key to shooting, the rest is just practice and experience in varying conditions.

I’ve put a few rounds down range with a Field Craft. Fine rifle. Recoil is not bad when shooting suppressed. Pretty significant when the suppressor comes off though. I’ve got a couple of really light rifles and for those whom hunt on foot, Western-style, covering many miles in a day, they are great. As a general rule, all of them are fairly difficult to shoot as accurately as their heavier cousins. My Kimber 84M 308, for instance, kicks harder than my Remington 5R in 300 WM. My Remington Mountain Rifle in 280 Rem kicks 50% harder than the Kimber. Those rifles are also more difficult to hold steady in the field.
