I hate djokavic but he will have the most titles and be the best ever. Wish it was roger though who had the most. He lost too many finals to nadal over the years

Watching the women’s final now. Sabelenka came out on fire in the 2nd set after losing the first. 3rd set just started.

Djokovic will soon be #1 (over Nadal). Nobody says Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady. Majors are the test. Borg and Sampras are not relevant to this discussion.

Djokovic may take over the #1 spot from Federer with a few more wins, but Nadal is on the fringe of the top 5. Just a clay court specialist with way too many FO titles to be part of the GOAT conversation. Hard courts rule and grass has the history.

That "clay court specialist" beat Fed 10 out of 14 times in majors. If you take out the French, Fed STILL doesn't have the advantage and on hard courts in majors Rafa won 3 out of 4.

I've said it before - nothing against Fed who I admire - but the GOAT can't have losing records against the supposed #2 and #3 when their careers largely overlap. It would be like saying Patrick Ewing was better than MJ. Fed is 3rd. All hail (as of this morning) the new GOAT.

Nice try. Federer won more matches against Nadal on hard court and grass, including the last 4 out of 5 while being ancient. Federer is 5 years older than Nadal which is a HUGE gap for tennis players.

Bottom line: Fed's prime > Nadal's prime

Fed = GOAT (with ND looming on the horizon)

Oh so now the test is undefined primes being supposedly better - but matches at the tail end do matter though but only if Fed happened to win them. lmao.

Of course, age matters. They match up close enough for Nadal and Djokovic, but Fed is 5-6 years older to both of them. Facts are facts.

I'm no fan of Djokovic, but IMO he's the GOAT. At worst, tied with Nadal. Federer right behind. Amazing that the three-best of all-time all played in the same era.

Someone had Bjorg in their top 5. I disagree. One would have to win each of the four grand slams over the course of his career. Bjorg only won the French Open and Wimbledon. Same issue for Sampras - couldn't get done on clay.

You must be new here. You see clay wins don't matter for some reason. Even though the French Open is definitely 1/4 of the Grand Slam and everybody wants to win a Grand Slam and winning even 1 time in your career plus the other 3 allows a player like Agassi to claim a "career slam" (which is on his plaque at the tennis Hall of Fame), but in reality winning or losing at the French or on clay means nothing. Also, Federer did not play in the same era as the other two. He is MUCH older than Nadal or Djokovic. So the wins he had when he was in his (undefined) prime and those two were brand new to the tour definitely count, but as soon as they started beating him, that was the end of Fed's prime however undefined so those results should be thrown out. Oh except a brief streak where a very old Fed beat an old Nadal a few times - those should count. 🤣

Congrats to Djokovic on #22. He just dominated the tournament. Hopefully he can win a few more majors this year and become the undisputed GOAT.

Watch Novak go on a run in 2023 and win the calendar slam. Rafa's health is questionable, who knows when Alcarez will return and in what form, and who else is going to stop him? Berrettini at Wimbledon? Medvedev hasn't been the same since the AO 2022 final.
