Portland has horrific leadership and a rough homeless problem right now. 10-15 years ago Portland was one of the nicest cities in the country and its only knock was real estate prices starting to climb and too much rain/cloudiness. Long term it will flesh out the current nonsense.
U.S. News analyzed the 150 most populous metro areas to find the best places to live. To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life. For more information on how we rank,
Portland ranked 9th.
As far as the homeless population, Portland does have more than their share of homeless living there.
Las Vegas is ranked in the top ten for homeless population,
Guess that City's leadership should be considered horrible.
But yet Vegas secured the Raiders despite the homeless problem and horrific leadership problem that caused it.
Talking points can make anything look worse than it is, or better than it really is.
Just need an audience that won't look at the whole picture and only look at the part you exaggerated about and you painted it in a bad light knowing most won't investigat what you said, just accept the whole picture is one of faded glory.
