We have a good friend, a parent of one of Corey's classmates, who had a bad fall when entering her office building. Think of the classic slip on a banana peel type of fall. Slammed the back of her head into the floor as well as shattering her wrist. Anyway, this happened over a month ago, and it really sounds like she's not getting the medical help she needs. Having gone through this over 20 years ago, I know I wish I had had the right doctors at the time. So is there a type of doctor she should see, or is there a group in northern NJ that specializes in this?

Long time board lurker, first time posting since this is an area I've had a decent amount of experience in.

If she is still symptomatic in any way (dizzy, balance/memory issues, headaches, neck pain, etc.) a physical therapy clinic that treats vestibular issues and/or concussions will help tremendously. I'm currently in graduate school for physical therapy and treated many concussions, whiplash injuries, vertigo, etc. at my first clinical affiliation with incredibly high success rates.

Not sure of your location in northern NJ but a quick Google search of "concussion physical therapy North Jersey" yielded Atlantic Health System, JFK Medical Center, Kessler, Specialized Physical Therapy, and CentraState.

Good luck to your friend! If you'd like more specifics, I'd be more than happy to help!
