Who remembers the Grant Hill slam dunk vs Kansas in the NCAAT Championship game of 1991?
What were the words Billy Packer used to describe the dunk? I remember this like it was last night....

I'll give this answer away since its more of a memory than trivial.
"That's a David Thompson like dunk from yesteryear"
I'll post a trivia question in a few minutes.

Danny Ferry scored 58 points vs Miami, who holds the highest single game scoring high since Ferry's 58?
Who was the Duke opponent when this highest point total since Ferry was scored? And, what current Olympian was on the losing team?

Seems like Redick dropped 41 on Texas. But pretty sure Durant came the year after in 06-07. So maybe it's someone other than Redick..
You got the Duke player, points scored, and opponent correct.
Put a little more thought on the opposing player now Olympian. He's a probable HOF'er.

Aldridge was the only serious NBA player on that team IIRC. Durant came a year later. Except Aldridge isn't going to Rio. So not sure if you meant Durant or maybe a guy from another country that made the Olympics? But outside of KD and Aldridge, I don't think Texas has anyone from those years that will sniff the HOF.
I thought Aldridge was kept on the team? I guess I'm wrong.
You're up fellow Blue Devil.

Who was the last AP National Player of the Year whose team failed to make it to the NCAA Tournament?
Ben Simmons had a legit chance to pull of that feat. But this happened many years ago - 1970's to put you in the right time frame.
David Thompson is correct. He was a 2x AP National Player of the Year. The year before, of course, NC State won the National Title. You're up, Buckin!
I'm about out of good questions so lets all get a kick out of this one...
What ACC player shot a layup air ball much to Duke fans delight?

I still remember that wonderful , warm, teary eyed, standing ovation that the warm wonderful fans and wine and cheese crowd gave him on senior day. That was one of the most moving moments that I can remember in sports history. That had to make every top notch 5 star recruit that witnessed that to want to be a part of the family so he could have a senior day like that because we all know that anyone who commits to unc will be given the privilege of a senior day because hof coach roy williams only recruits those kind of players no matter how good they are. Even as a Duke fan when I saw the tribute to strickland I choked up. OFC
Who replaced Mickey Mantle as the Yankees starting center fielder beginning in the 1967 season. However Mantle did not retire until March of the 1969 season. Hint number one. He was replaced in center field by a team mate who was a starter. This should be pretty easy for old baseball fans. OFC
Not in 1967. Murcer did eventually take over in center field and had a lot of pressure on him to follow in Mantle's footsteps. Not really fair to Bobby. Hint. This player wore a hairpiece. OFC
Joe Pepitone is correct. He was the Yankees regular 1st baseman so he and Mickey just switched positions. Joe had some potential but he lived the off field life that Mickey did but without the talent of Mickey. Just a note going back to Murcer. Both he and Mickey were from Okla. and were shortstops when they came to the Yankees You are up hart. OFC
