OT: Amazon Fire TV Screensaver/Sleep Mode

I got an Amazon Fire TV recently. Is there any way to make a screensaver that displays time and weather information (maybe even with the day's forecast) and prevents the device from going into sleep mode?

Tried google searching for this but couldn't find a definitive solution. Best I could find in the comments for an app page (Weather4us) and on a blog somewhere is that Roku is capable of this functionality.

Have you tried turning it off, and then back on again? If that doesn't work, go the extreme route and unplug it for a few minutes.

You want to push the game down...but like super super slow...when you hear it click into place, STOP...don't bother closing the lid. Should work.

Normally, I think this could be done on any Android device by using a different launcher, but I'm guessing the launcher is 'fixed' on the Fire TV, unless you root it etc.

You want to push the game down...but like super super slow...when you hear it click into place, STOP...don't bother closing the lid. Should work.

Don't forget to wiggle it back and forth once it is in there
